The hum of whispers grew sharper as I made my way out of the sacred combat training grounds. Conversations buzzed, weaving through the pack bonds, cutting through the charged air.
"She actually bet against Ellis?"
"There's no way she can pull this off."
"An Omega teaching wolves? What a joke."
