Across from me, Professor Ellis clutched an old leather-bound book to her chest. Her expression was frosty, her wolf radiating irritation as she met my gaze. Beside her loomed Professor Wilson, another instructor who seemed all too willing to bask in her shadow.
The classroom was full, and the students of Class 18 buzzed softly in their seats. They were uneasy, but there was something else. Confidence. Confidence, because they had me, and I had made sure no one—no one—would humiliate us like before.
"Professor Ellis," I began, my voice steady but low. “What about our bet regarding the healing trial results? Are you ready to fulfill your part of the agreement, or have you conveniently forgotten?”
