Penny walked into my office with a smile on her face. “I think I found what you’re looking for.”
“And what is that?” I asked her.
“Another chance with Melody.”
I sighed and looked up at her. “We’ve been over this, Penny.”
“I know,” she said, lowering herself onto the chair opposite my desk. She pulled her brown hair behind her neck and swooped it over her shoulder. “But I really think this is good.”
I sighed again and raised my eyebrows, letting her continue.
“Okay, so you guys have always had a thing for Valentine’s Day, right?”
I nodded.
“You should totally surprise her with a date.” Penny grinned, her eyes wide and bright.
I didn’t want to crush her, but I had no idea what a date would help.
