I loved hearing Amber laugh. Her giggle when she was happy was the best sound in the entire world. Knowing I did something that made her make that sound always made me feel like I could do anything.
“Did you have fun with Gina last night?” I asked her, hoping to get her thoughts on me dating.
She nodded and made another snowball. “Yeah, it was fun. She said her daddy was going to kiss you, though. We fought about that because I told her the only person you kiss is my daddy, not her daddy.”
My smile froze on my face. I avoided looking at her while I tried to think about how to explain to my five year old that her daddy didn’t want to kiss me anymore.
“Well, I might kiss her daddy sometime. Would that bother you?”
She scrunched up her face and stared at the snow for a minute.
