THE CURSED ONE - THE BOY WHO CHALLENGE DESTINY

In Despair

Jin woke up in a small hut with his hands and legs getting tied, he feels pain all over his body. He remembered when he holds that guy’s leg very tight, even biting it, and he was beaten mercilessly until he passes out after received a hard punch in the back of his head, his head was still dizzy but he still can figure out the surroundings. He looks around and saw only one man guarding this small hut, no one else around, this man was different than the man who beats him. He doesn’t see Jung Kook or Youra in here either, he is sure if Youra was saved and has arrived in Golden Flame, but he is worrying about Jung Kook, he is afraid if Jung Kook was killed by those men. He immediately erases that thinking from his mind because he is sure if those men will let Jung Kook go. After all, they will not get any advantages from killing Jung Kook. The situation was silent as both he and the guard don’t speak at all, this makes he can hear many animal sounds outside, Jin predicts if he is in the middle of the forest right now. Although he doesn’t know where or why this horde taking him, but he has prepared himself if he will die in here.

Jin looked at the guard who seems bored and sleepy, he has a chance to run before their group coming back. Even though he has prepared himself to die, but it is worth enough if he tries to escape from here if he has the chance. His mind now thinking of a few plans to escape, at first he must know the surrounding area, he then speaks to the man who guarding the hut.

“I am sorry, Mister, please allow me to pee and poop, I still not doing it since today morning, I can’t hold any longer, please.” Jin begged. He actually doesn’t want to pee or pup now, he just wants to go outside to looks for the surroundings.

“Hey kid, don’t mess with me, just hold it, I don’t have time for unimportant things like that.” The guard answered.

“Please, Ajeossi, I can’t hold it anymore, I can poop anytime in here.” Jin tried to persuade the guard.

“Huh, fine...,” The guard walks toward Jin, “Stand up now.” He ordered.

“Thank you, Ajeossi.” Jin said.

The guard untied Jin’s hands and feet, “Heh… Don’t call me like that, I’m not that old and I’m a single man, I don’t like marriage,” The guard was annoyed because of Jin’s words, “Come, fast.” He dragged Jin to the bushes outside the hut.

It is very dark outside, Jin standing and looks around. He need sometimes for his eyes to get used to the low light before he can see the surroundings.

“Indeed this is in the middle of the forest but I don’t know where, I never entering this forest before. If I run, which direction should I go?” Jin spoke in his mind.

“Hey!!! Why are you standing still?! You told me if you want to poop immediately, and now you daydreaming like this? Do you want to trick me, huh?!” the guard irritated.

“No, Sir. I just looking for the proper place to poop.” Jin replied.

“Just poop anywhere around, don’t get too close from the hut, If I can smell your poops, I’ll kill you,” the guard threatened, “And never ever tried to escape. If you try to escape I will hunt you down and kill you slowly by feeding you to the tigers in this mountain.”

“Yes, Sir.” Jin replied.

“One more, keep answering me whenever I ask you, kid.” The guard added.

Jin immediately walks toward the big tree that he saw, he moved to the back of the tree and starts crouching there.

“Hey, Kid. Don’t go too far, just do it there.” The guard asked.

“Yes, Sir.” Jin replied again. He now thinking while he is crouching, if he chooses to stay and tries his luck to escape in the day, the possibility will become smaller because maybe his groups have returned, but if he chooses to escape in the night like this without knowing the direction of surroundings he surely will get lost in this forest, and if he was unlucky he can get eaten by the tigers who often looking for a prey in the night. No easy choice for him but he has to pick one of the possibilities, whatever the result in the end he doesn't care as he had prepared himself to die in here.

Jin finally decides to stay and wait to see the possibility that he will have by tomorrow, if he has the chance he will run and escape, at least in the daylight even if he gets lost he still able to see the surroundings and if he is lucky enough someone from the Golden Flame sect will rescue him. He stands up and prepared to go back to the hut when he suddenly heard a growl, a big growl from somewhere around. He is standing still with his heart beating very fast like never before, this is the first time he feels very scared because he knows that it wasn’t a human growl, the first thing that came to his mind was a tiger growl, although he never heard any tigers growling before, he knows that he is correct about this. He tries to calm himself and search around, he heard other growls, but this seems a different growl from before, "Are there two tigers lurking around?" That was what he thought in his mind. He is certain if this was his last moment in this world.

“I am sorry, Mr. Jung Kook, I don’t have the chance to pay your kindness.” Jin said in despair.

He then remembered about Youra, about her smiles, her happy face, and everything about her that made him happy, “Well, at least I won’t die for nothing.” Jin said. He is now ready if suddenly any of the tigers will attack him by now. He heard another growl which is getting closer, and he closed his eyes ready to receive the tigers attack, but suddenly he heard the guard voice,

“Hey, you little bastard, what makes you so long?! You want me to go over there and kick your a*s, huh?!” The guard said with anger.

Jin keeps silent as this is not the right time to deal with him, he ignored the guard's questions. This makes the guard finally lost his temper and patience, he walks in grumbling to the place where Jin takes a poop. Jin doesn’t care about the guard anymore as he saw glowing eyes from distance, the majestic eye that will make anyone who saw it trembled with fear, now he feels that the tiger will attack him anytime soonest. The guard coming closer and he suddenly has an idea, if he runs towards the guard's direction and passes through him, he might have the chance that the tiger will attack the guard first. He doesn’t know if this plan will work or not, but this is the best option that he has right now.

The guard almost reached the big trees where Jin’s was hide last time, he still grunted and pissed with Jin’s behavior. “f**k you, kid, I will crush your bone if I get you,” He murmured. Right before he reached the tree, he is shocked when suddenly Jin runs past him. “Hey, kid, where are you going?! Damn this kid!” He got angrier.

Before he starts to chase Jin, suddenly he heard a mighty roar and something big is running towards him. He looked to his back and saw a huge tiger running to attack him, his leg is shaken and his voice is lost as his heart trembling in fear. He tries to draw his sword but he feels his body doesn’t have any energy at all. He only watched until the tiger getting closer and closer.

Jin keeps running as fast as he can and as far as possible from the hut, he doesn’t know whether the tiger chose to go after him or the guard, what he can do now is just running and running. He then heard someone screaming from the hut directions, a heart-wrenching scream. He is sure if it was the voice of the guard. He doesn’t dare to look or to stop, he just keeps himself running and jumping through the darkness of the night in the forest, he even doesn’t care about the pain that he feels in his feet.

The long scream has gone now, Jin feels it is a little bit better. He doesn’t know whether the guard has been killed by the tiger or vice versa, but inside his heart, he truly hoping that the guard can take the tiger down, even it seems unlikely. “But wait, aren’t there two of them?” Jin’s questioned in his mind. He looked back and he saw something runs toward him with unbelievable speed, it was another tiger. This is a different tiger than before, this is much smaller, but a tiger is a tiger, it will tear everyone in fear. Jin’s fear resurfaced, although he has ready to die, he will try till his last hope ended.

Jin still running while the tiger trailing very close behind him, he doesn’t look at the surroundings as there’s no time for doing that, thus he doesn’t know that in front of him was a steep cliff. The dark of the night making it is impossible to see in a large area, he only able to see a few steps ahead. The tiger is only a few steps behind him, and right before it catches Jin’s body, suddenly Jin is falling down from the steep cliff, his small body trundle many times before he falls in free air.

“Finally my life will end in here. Yeah, it doesn’t a bad one even though my life was full of misery but I feel happy because, in the end, I have someone who cares about me, and also someone who made my heart feels happy even only for a moment.” Jin smiled and closed his eyes. He is waiting for his body to get slammed to the ground and dies, but it never happened as he fell on a deep river.

“Byurrr…” The sound of Jin’s body that slammed into the water breaks the silence of the night, even though it doesn’t kill him, but the strong impact is enough to make him passed out. Jin’s body drifted by the river currents far away deep inside the forest to the place where humans never enter for millennia.
