A group of students gathered inside the Yellow Hall, a place where new students learning basic martial arts in Golden Flame martial arts school, one of the best martial art schools in this land. 

“Open way, open way.” Someone yelled from Yellow Hall’s door, it Jung Kook’s voice the head of Food Warehouse in this school. 

“Why do all of you only stand and watch? Hurry up, help me to bring this child to Food Warehouse,” Jung Kook urged the crowd to help him, but no one was willing to give a hand. 

“I know all of you are a bunch of cowards!” Jung Kook said it in fury, “He’s just a boy, what you all afraid of!?” Jung Kook continued his fury voice. 

“Hey old man, if you were so worried of him, you must hurry up and carry him outside, before his curse littering this place.” One of those new students said in bold. 

“Yes indeed, that child disturbing our training, hurry up take him away far from here before we report this matter to the headmaster.” The other student voiced the same thing.

All the students in there started yelling to Jung Kook, they urged him to take out the passed-out boy immediately from the hall. As Jung Kook doesn't have any other options, the old man lifted the boy and brought him to the Food Warehouse by himself as he doesn’t want the boy to get into trouble because of this matter. 

Food Warehouse is a place where Jung Kook and his men worked every day to prepare and cook foods that will be served to thousands of Golden Flame students. This warehouse is located in the west part of the school, only around 500 steps from this Yellow Hall. Although the distance was not too far, with his old body he feels very exhausted because of carrying the passed-out boy, with a hard effort he forced himself to the limit. When he finally arrived at the Food Warehouse entrance, some of his men run towards him to help their boss.

The passed-out boy's name is Jin.

“He passed out again boss?” Taeman, one of The Food Warehouse workers asked his boss while his hands take the passed-out boy from his boss's shoulder.

Jung Kook nods his head, “Hurry, bring this child inside.” 

Little Jin being brought inside by Taeman into the only room in the warehouse and he lay Jin’s body down on the bed. Although the room is not that big, it is very comfortable and this room is the only place that the Golden Flame sect provided for them to rest in the night. The other workers will go back to their home every evening after all their duty finished, all of them are the villagers from the nearby village, only Jung Kook and Jin that stayed in the warehouse every night.

Jung Kook has worked in this place for almost 60 years long, he started work a long time ago when he was a teenager, he followed his father who worked in Golden Flame as a gardener. After his father passed away, 15 years old Jung Kook continued his father's works as a gardener. Once upon a time around 35 years ago, there was a big gathering in the Golden Flame sect where every martial art sects from all over the land gathered in Golden Flame include the other 3 strongest martial art sects. During the events, the head chef at that time needed additional help to serve all the guests. Finally, he asked Jung Kook to help him to prepare the food. The head chef was satisfied with Jung Kook’s hard work and he wanted Jung Kook as his permanent helper. The school Head Master granted his request, from that moment Jung Kook officially worked in the Food Warehouse. Jung Kook never had any child or wife as he dedicated his entire life only to serve Golden Flame School, with his relentless effort, 20 years ago he was officially promoted as the head chef until the present.

 “Too bad, a child as bright as you must carry black devil curse,” Jung Kook muttering while releasing heavy breath, “If only there was no devil curse, you can join the Golden Flame School and start learning martial arts here, I believe your life will not be this bad.” Jung Kook regretted Jin's bad fate. His workers also staring at the passed-out boy with sadness. 

“Let's go back, we must continue our works, if we late serving the food, we will get punishment from the headmaster.” Jung Kook gave an order to his workers. Everybody then going outside except passed-out Jin. 

Jung Kook boiling a medicine made of simple ingredients that he can find around, it’s impossible for him to enter Golden Flame Medicine Warehouse to get the best medicine for Jin, but he tries the best that he can with available resources. The medicine poured into a small cup and he raises Jin’s head to make the medicine stream went through Jin’s nose, slowly Jin’s pale face start to turn reddish, he then lay Jin’s head down again. Knowing Jin’s conditions has improved, Jung Kook left the room and continuing his abandoned activity.

Jung Kook although he is only a chef, he often steals hearing valuable information from Golden Flame Higher Masters conversations when he was served the foods for these masters. He also can access Golden Flame Library several times so he knew about simple medicine or new information from the martial art world, including the information of Black Devil Curse. From what Jung Kook knows, the first recorded case of this curse coming from 300 years ago, up until now several children were recorded born with The Black Devil's curse in their bodies. All the children with this curse will not live long enough to pass their 15 years birthday, even most of them will die before 15 years old, and as far as he knows no medicine or cure ever found to remove this curse. This curse is called Black Devil Curse because all children with this curse will die in suffering in their last moments, they will feel miserable pain and their blood will turn into black with their veins visible all over the body then exploding inside, creating black marks all over its carrier dead body. 

A rumor said that 30 years ago, the son of Geommuk, The Emperor at that time also having this curse and the emperor had asked the infamous medical master Dong Yun the Angel Eye to help his son, but there was no further information about the outcome or the rumor credibility. 

With only limited information and resources, Jung Kook committed himself to help Jin and he will try his best as long as he still has his life.
