Maya’s POV

Elena Martins waited for us in a quiet car park behind an old building. She was twenty four, tall and serious with sharp eyes. She wore a black jacket and looked ready for anything. Liam and I walked to her fast. The night air felt cold on my skin.

“You came,” Elena said quietly. “Good. We do not have much time.”

She opened the back door of her car. Inside sat a new woman I had never seen before. She was beautiful with long dark hair and confident eyes. Elena introduced her. “This is Sophia Reed. She worked for Mr Havisham two years ago, she escaped.”

Sophia looked at me. “Your sister Sarah helped me get out. I owe her, that is why I am here.”

We got into the car. Elena drove to a safe place while Sophia told us her story. She spoke about secret parties and powerful men. Liam listened carefully. I held his hand tight. My body still felt warm from Liam’s tongue earlier but my mind stayed sharp.

Elena stopped the car near a quiet park. “We need to move fast. Julian Cross is planning something big tonight, he wants full control.”

I moved to the back seat with her. Sophia was gentle. She brushed my hair from my face. “You have been through so much. Let me help you relax before we go to the warehouse.”

“Maya,” she said with a shaking voice. “I am at the warehouse already. Dad brought me here, he says it is a family meeting but something feels wrong. There are other men here. Please come quick.”

The call ended. My heart pounded, Chloe was already inside with her father and Julian.

Liam looked at me. “We go in together.”

We parked and walked toward the dark building. The door was open. When we stepped inside the light showed Mr Havisham, Julian, and Chloe tied to a chair. But there was someone new standing beside Julian. A tall handsome man with cold eyes.

Julian smiled. “Welcome, meet my partner. The real power behind everything.”

The new man stepped forward. He looked straight at Liam. “Hello cousin. I am Victor Kane. I have been working with Julian from the start.”

Liam’s face turned white with shock.

Victor smiled wider. “And I have been f*****g Chloe for months. She knows nothing.”
