Maya’s POV

The woman with red hair stepped into the light like she owned the whole warehouse. Isabella Cross, Julian’s older sister. She looked elegant and dangerous at the same time. Her red dress hugged her body. She held the gun steady. Everyone froze.

“You thought I was dead, little brother?” she said to Julian with a cold smile. “I have been watching everything. Now I am taking control.”

She walked slowly toward Chloe. Chloe looked scared but her body was still flushed from everything that happened earlier. Isabella touched Chloe’s cheek gently. Then she kissed her. It was not soft. It was hungry. Chloe moaned into the kiss even though tears were in her eyes.

Isabella pulled back and looked at all of us. “Marcus, Elena, Sophia. Come here, let us show these people how we celebrate power.”

Marcus moved first. He kissed Isabella hard. Elena and Sophia joined them. The four of them started touching each other right there in front of us. Isabella pulled Chloe closer. He pointed the gun at Isabella. But before he could shoot, Julian moved fast. He stabbed Mr Havisham in the side. Blood came out. Mr Havisham dropped the gun and fell to his knees.

Julian stood over him breathing heavy. “You are not the only one who wants power.”

Isabella smiled at her brother. “Good boy.”

But then she turned the gun toward Julian. “But I do not share.”

A new gunshot rang out.

Mr Havisham lay bleeding on the floor. Julian looked shocked. Isabella walked closer to him.

The real boss had just shown her face.

And she was ready to kill anyone who stood in her way.
