Maya’s POV
Liam’s face looked dark and angry as we stood outside his apartment.
“We cannot wait until tomorrow again,” Liam said. “This is getting too dangerous. Come inside my apartment. We need to think.”
I followed him in with weak legs. My body still hurt from Mr Havisham’s punishment earlier. c*m was still sticky between my thighs. I sat on his couch and hugged my knees. My sister died because of this man. Now he wants to hurt Chloe and me. I feel so small and scared. But I must be strong like Sarah was.
Liam brought me a glass of water. He sat beside me and held my hand. “We will find a way. But first tell me everything you know about your sister.”
I drank the water with shaking hands. Then I remembered something. When I moved into this apartment after Sarah died, I kept some of her old boxes. I never looked inside them properly.
“I have her old things,” I said. “Maybe there is something useful.”
We went to my apartment together. Liam stayed close like a protector. I pulled out a dusty box from under my bed. Inside were clothes, books, and an old phone. The battery was dead. Liam found a charger and plugged it in.
We waited. My heart beat fast. When the phone turned on it asked for a password. I tried Sarah’s birthday. It worked. The screen opened to many messages and photos.
“Look at this,” I whispered.
There were hundreds of messages between Sarah and Mr Havisham. She called him sir. She sent him pictures of her body. She wrote about money and how she hated it but needed it for our family. Tears came to my eyes again.
Liam read quietly beside me. His face became harder with every message. “She was trapped just like you.”
I kept scrolling. There were voice notes. I played one. Sarah’s voice filled the room. She sounded scared.
“Mr Havisham is dangerous. He hurts girls who try to leave. He changed my medicine. I feel sick all the time. If something happens to me, tell Maya not to work for him. Please.”
I covered my mouth. My big sister knew she was going to die. She tried to protect me even at the end. I am so sorry Sarah. I did the same thing you did. I let him use my body for money. I am just like you.
Liam hugged me from behind. “She loved you so much. We will use this as proof.”
But then the phone showed something worse. Hidden videos. Sarah recorded Mr Havisham in his office. He was f*****g her on the same desk he uses with me. She looked tired and sad in the video. At the end of the video she whispered to the camera, “He is poisoning me slowly. The doctor works for him.”
I started crying hard. Liam held me tight. His arms felt strong around me. “We have enough now. We can take this to the police tomorrow.”
My phone suddenly buzzed on the table. Unknown number again. I opened it with fear. It was a new message with a picture. It showed Liam and me right now sitting together with Sarah’s phone in my hand.
The text said, “Nice discovery. But if you show that phone to anyone, we will kill Chloe first. Then Liam. Then you. Bring the phone to the warehouse tomorrow night. Both of you. No police.”
Liam saw the message. His body became tense. “They are always one step ahead.”
I felt completely trapped. My sister’s voice was still playing on the old phone. She was warning me. But the blackmailers were too powerful. They saw everything.
Liam turned off the old phone and hid it under the bed. He pulled me into his lap. “We will pretend to obey them. But we prepare our own plan. I have friends who can help us secretly.”
He kissed me softly. His kiss became deeper. My body responded even though my mind was full of fear. His hands moved under my dress and touched me gently. I moaned into his mouth. He laid me on the bed and removed my clothes carefully.
This time he was slow and loving. He kissed every part of my body. When he entered me I felt safe for a moment. We moved together quietly. I came with tears in my eyes. He finished inside me and held me close after.
But as we lay there breathing together my phone buzzed again. Another message.
“Tomorrow night at the warehouse. Bring the phone and Liam. Mr Havisham will be there too. One wrong move and everyone dies.”
I showed Liam the message. His eyes became sharp like a hunter. “Then we go. But we will be ready.”
Tomorrow night suddenly felt like the end of everything. Mr Havisham. The blackmailers. My sister’s truth. Chloe’s safety. Liam’s life. All of it would meet at the same dark place.
I held Liam tighter. My heart was full of fear but also a small fire of anger. Sarah tried to fight. Now it was my turn.
But deep down I wondered if any of us would walk out of that warehouse alive.
