Chapter two

Lucas My guys had been looking towards the new arrivals at the beach while I had just been staring into the ocean. It looked so peaceful and without concerns. “Hey look there she is again” Kyle my future beta exclaimed excitedly as one of the new arrivals stepped out of the car. She looked so peaceful just as she took a deep breath of the air around her. I couldn’t really stop myself from going up to her and that smell that surrounded her wasn’t too bad either. It was this lovely smell of rain on a hot summers’ day. I felt like I could get lost in that smell. “Hey, I haven’t seen you here before,” were the words that soon after came out of my mouth as I stood behind her. Her hair was a sunset kind of red that was pinned up into a ponytail, and she was wearing a dress that seemed to frame her body in a good way. I could feel myself wanting to pull her closer, yet I had no idea why. The beach was on the territory of Silver Moon, but every one that were bold enough to accept the invitation to be there was. And she seemed like the brave type. Although there was the chance that she was in fact one of the Silvers. “I haven’t been here for quite some time, so I don’t recognise you either” she challenged. As if she was putting her food down wanting to throw me off my game. I couldn’t help but smile. Something pulled me to her, and I wanted to keep on challenging that. “Oh, I’m sorry. I’m Lucas and who may you be?” smooth real smooth. Now at least I could introduce myself to her. That was until I was knocked down into the ground by, I remember him as the son of Silver Moon’s Alpha. It was Silas Everhart. I realised who the girl reminded me off a little bit now. “Lucas Adalwolf, what are you doing here?” he hissed at me. I couldn’t help but smirk up at him. He was a few months younger than me, and I was stronger than him in every way. Sure, I was lying on the ground, but I didn’t want to embarrass him in front of this girl. She was obviously a member of the Silver Moon, why else would the future alpha act like this? “Going for a swim what do you think?” I snapped back. I couldn’t let Silas treat me like this. I was the future Alpha of Dark Moon, the most feared pack. His weight on me was a lot and I decided that even though the girl was looking I couldn’t let him seem strong for her. I turned him around quickly making him lay under me. I wasn’t going to let him act as tough when I was both bigger and stronger than him. “What Everhart? You think you can just attack me out of nowhere?” I growled at him. My wolf seemed to react a lot more hard trying to surface. I couldn’t exactly control it. Before I could react, someone was pulling me away from Silas, and I looked back a bit surprised to see it was her. “What?” I simply just said as I was back on the ground. She was standing over me with her hands crossed, but she was looking over at Silas. “Si, what are you doing? I can take care of myself” She stated. Who was she really? To demand a kid of an Alpha leave her alone. “Excuse me but who are you?” I demanded, however lying on the ground it didn’t seem to hold any power. “That’s none of your business” she said finally acknowledging me. How was she this powerful? I could feel my wolf whimper under her voice, yet I had no idea what to do about it. “Soph, you can a least tell him” Silas chuckled. What was so funny that I didn’t know.   Sophia The boys always seemed to not hold back when it came to fighting and I didn’t want to deal with it today. The blond-haired kid on the ground seemed to try and act powerful, and from my brothers attempt at protecting me I knew he would have to be an Alpha kid. Great. If my mother knew anything of this or that there was a future alpha not far from here, she would gladly ship me off before I had a chance of saying no. “Could you guys try to act Civilised? My dad did after all allow this to be a public beach” I exclaimed at both. I couldn’t help but smile a little at the expression on Lucas’s face. Adam who had been standing and watching it all happen couldn’t help but laugh at the scene unfolding in front of him. “Lucas, this is Sophia Everhart, the daughter of Alpha George Everhart and that champs twin” Adam said pointing at Silas who was trying to get up on his feet. Apparently, Adam hadn’t gotten the memo that I didn’t want him to know who I was which meant I hid him trying to make him understand. “Why don’t you stay over there, and we go over here?” I said annoyed at him as I started to walk away. My wolf however didn’t completely agree with me and growled a bit. The others probably heard it and it only added to me being annoyed. I was tired of the kid, and thankfully I still had a choice to ignore him. “But I mean if you guys want to keep fighting don’t let me stop you” I finished of just heading for the other side of the beach. “Wait a minute” Lucas said as laid his hand on my shoulder. I turned around and growled at him. Just him being in line to be alpha was enough for me to reject him. I was not going to let him believe he had any power. Possibly it was because of my mother’s plans, but still. I was going to beat my brother for the Alpha title and get my mother to accept I wasn’t going to be someone’s Luna. “Don’t ever do that again” I hissed this time turning around and just kept walking.d this time turning around and just kept walking.
