"I really didn’t know honestly, I’m sorry!" "OH CRAP" Jaxson said as Abby slipped out of his arms waylaying Jordan. "Damn it! alright enough! get to the principal's office all of you" Coach said to the four of them. "why do I have to go Coach?" Jax asked. "because you are out of class bothering my class, now let’s go!" coach shouted. "the rest of you get to the showers class is over!" she turned and said to the girls that had gathered around the drama to see what was going on. "GO! NOW!" he shouted turning back to the four of them, guiding them back down the stairs towards the office. great it’s my first freaking day here and I’m already in trouble and it’s not even lunch yet! I am so screwed. mom's going to freaking kill me. Maddy thought to herself as she walked down the stairs following everyone. She must have had a look on her face that implied what she was thinking because Jax looked over at her and raised his eyebrows as if to say dude you ok. Maddy shook her head no and kept walking. Abby fell behind to meet with Maddy, coach shooting her a mean look. "I’m so sorr..." Maddy started to say when Abby interrupted her "Dude, it’s not your fault. You had no clue that Brad was my boyfriend. I just can’t believe that skank! no wonder I haven’t seen Brad since June. I guess I should have put two and two together when he was over at my house with J when I wasn’t home. I just didn’t think she would get that low or he would betray me, but whatever!" Abby told Maddy. “Well that’s still really messed up Abs” Maddy said grabbing Abby’s hand “you had a right to punch Jordan in the face” Abby laughed, “ya know what you are kind of right” They walked in silence the rest of the way to the office. Chapter 3 “BUT MOM!” Maddy whined, “I didn’t even do anything!” “No Maddison, I refuse to let you go. You still we involved in the drama at school.” Her mother replied. “Ughh whatever!” Maddy threw her hands up and stormed off up the stairs. “Quit with the attitude!” her mom shouted up at her Maddy ran into her room and threw her self on to the bed, I seriously cannot believe I am in trouble because of those damn girls and Jaxson, all I wanted to do was go to the beach today! Jaxson decided he was going to throw a party after all the drama this past week, how he got away with it Maddy has no idea. Ding Ding A text pops up on Maddy’s phone, “what are you doing?” its Jax “how’s the new phone?” “sitting in my room, contemplating my life because now I am grounded, and thanks you didn’t have to get me a new one.” Maddy Replied and set the phone back down on the pillow, how in the world am I going to get out of this? She thought to herself. Ding Ding “ugh I bet its Jax again!” Maddy said aloud as she rolled over and grabbed her phone. “Maddison” “Oh, wow it’s from that 772 number again!” she said as she got up off the bed looking down at the phone, do I text them back? “Maddison” it popped up again. “I know you are reading these you have an iPhone!” Oh my god what do I do! Maddy thought to herself, do I tell my mom? This is really messed up. “Maddison!” the text came thru once again, “who is this” Maddy reluctantly responded. “I think you know damn well and good who this is” the text said “who in the hell is this!” she said aloud dropping her phone on the bed. “Who is who?” her mom said popping into her room. “Oh! Gezz Mom!” Maddie jumped up off the bed. “Sorry, Maddy I didn’t mean to scare you!” Her mother chuckled, as she sat down on the bed. “It’s OK, ummm...” Maddy hesitated, should I tell her? “Maddy, what’s wrong?” her mother asked concerned. “You know you can tell me anything, no judgement” Chrissy waved her hands “I mean it, cross my heart” she drew an X over her heart. “Mom,” Maddy sighed “I know but I really don’t know how to explain…” she once again hesitated as she hung her head. Chrissy wrapped Maddy up in her arms. “Ok well let me help you, Start with who your talking to?” Maddy squeezed her mom and said “ok” as she slipped out of her arms. “I got a text from a 772 number.” Chrissy’s eyes got wide, “A what?” she asked “772 area code, do you know it?” Maddy asked concerned. Chrissy stood up from the bed and walked toward the door, “Hang on I’ll be right back.” “Okay?” Maddy was confused. I wonder what’s going on mom never acts funny. Chrissy walked back into the room. “Maddy, tell me the whole number” her mother asked with her phone in her hand “MOM! You aren’t going to text them! I don’t even know who it is! What if its some stalked person or something” Maddy exclaimed throwing her hands up “They don’t need your number too here just take my phone.” She handed her phone to her mother. “No, Maddison, I’m going to look the number up in my phone to see if its someone I know from when we lived in southern Florida.” She laughed, “I wasn’t going to text them” Maddy sighed, “OK well look it up then!” she said impatiently as her mom typed the number into her phone. “Hummmm…” Chrissy mumbled, “I don’t see a number in my phone that matches this. What have they said to you?” “well you have my phone scroll though my messages.” Maddy waved, “they haven’t said much and since Jaxson accidently broke my other phone, I lost the other ones but this started about a week ago, the day I started the new school.” “And you just now telling me this why?!” Chrissy raised her hands and her voice! “MOM, chill dude, I didn’t tell you because of this.” Maddy circling her moms face with her finger. “that face your making right now” “Maddison! Do you understand what this means for us?” Chrissy snarled, “if this is a person who is not suppose to find us, not supposed to know where we are then we will have to up and leave again.” Maddy jumped up “Wait WHAT!” she said with her face scrunched in a question mark. “What are you talking about Mom.” DING DING… “are you going to answer me?” the text read, Chrissy looked up at Maddy, “get your stuff, NOW!” Chrissy ran down the stairs as fast as she could still holding Maddy’s phone and whipping her own open, typing out a quick text, Maddy flies down after her. “Mom what is going on?” She grabs her mother’s arm and spins her to face Maddy “Maddison, I think I know who this is!” Chrissy says looking at Maddy from the tops of her eyes with her head still down. “WHO!” Maddy asked insistently. “Who is it?” “Your father”
