** Chapter Eight **

    “Deep Breaths I need to hear your lungs” I try to focus. I really do but all i can think about is Britten outside the door i can hear Riddick coming i can smell him he still smells so good to me but not the way britten does i can feel a pull towards him that says he is my mate or was at least he was i guess he rejected me but i don't remember any of it. “Embry, are you paying attention to me young lady” No Sir i am so sorry what did you say? “ I need you to lay back so I can examine you” I lay back but something is not right there moving away from me Stormy what's wrong something bad is coming and it's coming fast i can't see it yet but i can feel it. How do I spirit walk ? Let me try to imagine me leaving you like we are splitting in half . I lay back like the doc wants and take deep even breaths. I open up my mind and try to imagine stormy leaving my body but i can't do it. 

    I can hear what sounds like hundreds of paws hitting the ground and try again she is screaming at me like that is going to help. Stop yelling at me. I'm doing the best I can. I will try one more time. I thought about the movie ghosts where they go in and out of bodies. Yeah, I know it's weird but hey whatever works. Here goes nothing next thing  i know i can feel  it is  almost like a cold water being splashed all over my body and i can see stormy she in front of me and if she was smiling i would say that is what she was doing. What do I look like ? You did it. I started Laughing because she was  so happy. Go see what is coming. As she runs off i notice i can see through her ears and still hear it's almost  like i'm in two worlds i know what is going on here now and where she is. It's amazing, it's like she is going in and out. She moves as fast as lightning. She stops when i see about thirty wolves running towards her but they cant see her she invisible to them there coming for us there coming for me i can hear their thoughts they want me but why? Embry, call me back fast we need to escape. I don't know how stormy. Close your eyes imagine me there, say come to me and take a deep breath it's going to feel weird the first few times. I close my eyes and I picture her white and silky. I imagine her standing in front of me. 

  It's like a feeling that travels through my body: it's hot at first then cold then hot and when i think i'm going to scream it's done. I take a deep breath and open my eyes. There she is she is shaking her head at me so i take a deep breath and listen now let's get out of here together. I go to leave and Doc  screams wait where are you going. You can not  leave yet I'm not done. I have to leave Doc. They are coming for me let the Alpha know Doc get out run  now. I see the face he is maken i start running stormy is beside me. I don't know where I am going but I can't stay here. We have to hide, we need to mask or scent so Teach me. Take a deep breath and say these words with me you shall smell and see nothing. Wait how can that work come on now. Girl  just say  the words I look at her and I just  shake my head. This is straight crazy but I repeat the words and three times and open my eyes i don't feel any different. I don't think it worked at all, Stormy. 

      You are wrong, I smell  the air she is correct i can't smell myself but i can  smell him i can smell the fresh rain coming towards me my body starts to heat my body is tingling i have to find him i need to get to him he will protect us mate will save us. I turn towards his smell and realize it is going back towards the hospital. I can't go back there. They will find us and kill us Stormy. What do i do i need him we need him. Talk to him through your mind, reach for him like he does you but i stopped feeling him in my head an hour ago. It's like there is a block  reach inside yourself and open the door. When you got scared you may have thrown up a wall. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I can do these. I keep repeating those words to myself over and over as I try to reach the block inside my head. I see a red door. It is almost like a sign that says Stop real big do not enter. I reach for the door as i touch the handle i feel him all over my skin he is there but how i swing open the door and as i do i am taken back. Emery where are you please Emery come to me. 

    I can not believe it. I can hear him, I can feel him. I know he is not really with me yet but I feel safe and I feel loved. Britten, I'm here. Can you hear me? It's like a flood gate is released inside my head as all kinds of emotions hit me at once i know they are not mine there he's my mate my love. Emery, I'm here where are you. You must tell me NOW there is madness everyone. I'm in the forest by the caves. I'm hiding there  Britten the wolves are here for me they are looking for me i ran i hide like a coward. Stay hidden, I'm coming for you. I can not smell you. I need you to show me the way open your eyes show me. I open my eyes but I don't understand how I can show him the way to me by opening my eyes. Looking around I hear him say I need to see everything. I'm coming for you. It does  not take long and I can feel him getting closer. His smell is stronger. I spin around behind me  and the next thing i know i'm being picked up i don't have to open my eyes to know who it is i bury my head into his neck im home. 

        Britten you found me. I will always find you. I don't know when I started to cry but I can feel the tears falling. It's ok, I'm here. You're safe, I have you. I'm so wrapped around him. I feel like we are one. I'm trying to breathe in, I can't get enough of him. He starts to kiss my neck. He twists his hand in my hair and moves my head sideways so he can get better access to my neck. I can feel his tongue coming up tasting me as his lips and tongue travel up my neck i can feel the electrical current shooting through my body he slips his hand in the front of my shirt under my bra and rolls my n****e in between his fingers i gasp it feels so good as i gasp i'm silenced by  his mouth he kisses me soft at first  and then it like he can't get enough. Just when i feel like i need air he pulls away from my face we are both breathing heavy. “ Well well well LOOK what we have here” I try to turn in his arms but i can't i hear him growl as he is putting me down on my feet. 

  Before i hit the ground Britten's eyes are turning colors and i can hear the wind picking up and the earth feels like it is shaking “ You have till the count to three to run before I kill you all” I look around and no one is moving “ Is that a challenge Wolf” A large man is walking towards us completely  naked with tattoos stretched all over his body. “ It's a promise run while you can.” I love a good challenge. The earth starts to shake and the wind is getting stronger. I can see the wolf's face, he is just as lost as I am. How is it possible? “ We will be back wolf you can count on it” They turn and take off through the woods i look at Britten the winds are dying down and the earth is quiet again i don't know who they were but i know they will be back. He just smiles and takes my hand come lets get you somewhere safe i can't help but wonder who is my mate and what is he capable of.
