From Stranger to Brother

** Chapter Seven**

       I take a breath and just wait for him. Before he could reach me, I stuck my arm out and say not here. He looks at me and agrees with his head. As we were walking out of the building, I sent a message to Embry to let her know that I am going to talk to Riddick outside. “ you won't be long will you” No love I will not please do not stress I am still here. As i walk out the door all i can hear is her racing heartbeat she is still so broke and shattered and she dont know why. We walk towards the woods by the compound. The sun is out and shining, the wind is blowing and it's a beautiful day. I can't say how I feel about being on land so long but I'm loving all the views. 

 We come to a spot just inside the forest where Riddick leans against the tree. He is smiling and all I want to do is wipe the smile off his face. What do you want? I want you to leave my mate alone and step aside. Well brother she is not your mate now is she. She is my mate and you will back off or i will kill you where you stand do you understand me.The fire in me is growing i feel like i'm going to combust im so angry. It's burning up my legs . I can feel it coming. I can't stop it before I can speak flames cover my legs and travel up my body to my hands. I'm covered but it's not burning me. It's swirling around red, yellow, blue . It's the most beautiful flame I have ever seen. It's like it is following me. I swirl and watch it go with me. I start to laugh and it jumps. I have never seen anything so amazing. 

     The world has faded away. It's just me and the flames I'm so lost in the moment I forgot I had company. “ Ouch Ouch that burns” I turn real quick to see Riddick blowing on his hand, its red and blistered, its healing fast. What would make you touch flames ? I thought if it didn't burn you it was not going to burn me, boy was i damn wrong. He is screaming at the top of his lungs now all i can do is shake my head. I laugh as i watch him “ what are you laughing at you i***t”. I'm laughing at you. We both start laughing at each other maybe it's just the situation but neither of us can stop laughing. 

   As I catch my breath I look up to see him smiling and my heart grows for the brother I have never known. Look, I know that she is your mate but i think she is mine too so we need to let her choose. We don't know each other so I know it's hard to trust each other but I only want what is best for Embry and you my brother. He shakes his head yes before the words come out of his mouth. We give her a choice: we can take turns with her and let her get to know both of us. I agree let her choose what she wants or who she wants. We need some rules. What kind of rules are we talking about. No touching at all. I can't go without touching her. I am pushing energy and love into her to help still heal her she is still broke and shattered and until she is better she needs physical contact. 

       Okay so minimal Physical Contact.  also agree on not interfering with each other's time. Each day one of us can be with her. We can take it day by day and do what is best for her health. One more thing Whoever she chooses, we respect her choice. After all we are brothers and I would really like to get to know my brother as well. Riddick stands there with shock on his face. I know he is trying to figure out what to say and think. He is still at a loss for words as I watch the battle he is fighting with himself and his beast. I can see the moment he has made up his mind and he stopped fighting himself. I will agree on one condition. It takes me by suprise im not sure why a statement would hit me so hard but it does. What is your one condition? It took him a moment  before he starts to speak but as i watch the words spill from his mouth i can not believe what i am hearing. I start to laugh cause hell what else could I do “ teach me how to control fire like you”. 

     Out of all the things that could have come out of his mouth I would never imagine that it would be that. As i'm laughing he is still saying “ come on dont laugh” I try to stop and talk but i can't find the words that come out all wrong and bunch together. “ you just made no sense” I can not  teach you an element and something I don't even know how to do myself. I was so angry and pissed that I just felt like I was on fire and that is when it started. He shakes his head and a weird look comes across his face like he just figured something out. You okay?  In the hospital room the walls and ground started to shake, the wind picked up how many of the elements can you control Britten? I could see the concern I felt his fear. I can control all four elements my brother i watched as he takes steps back from me like he is scared of me. 

  That’s pretty damn cool. Why don't I have anything like that? Did it come from your mother’s bloodline? To say I was shocked was the understatement of the year. No, it comes from our fathers. He just looks at me and I can see the shock on his face. Well then I just got screwed all the way around didn't I. I’m about to speak when i hear the scream i can feel the fear coming into me like a title wave hitting the shore it rocks me so hard i hit my knees. Britten, are you ok he rushes to me to try to help me to my feet. Something is wrong, I can feel it. Let me check in with the pack ! I’m Standing there when the wind starts to pick up and it's swirling all around me. Why cant he see it. I hear the whispers that it's maken to the north, North it keeps repeating  the words. Riddick check the north. 

        They are under attack . Let's go. We both took off running to the hospital near the northern border. The wind is still swirling and it's whispering things. Run, Faster, Fire. I don't understand. All I can feel is the wind. I can feel the fear in the air as we ran. Riddick has shifted into his Beast, so I call mine. Storm come to me. Next thing i know, I'm on all fours and passing everything is a blur. I'm going so fast but everything seems so clear. I turn the corner and I can't believe what I am seeing there fires everywhere the whole hospital is in flames. Embry, I reach for her mind. Where are you? Talk to me ? I'm starting to panic. I can't see anything there. Through the  smoke I call the wind and the smoke moves. There are wolves fighting everywhere. Where is she? Embry, I call her again where are you? I look around and there is fire and death and fighting everywhere. I'm so lost. I need to find her. Why did I leave her ? I'm coming to get you, Embry. If you can hear me, I'm coming for you. I ran straight through the fire into the hospital. I will not stop I will not give up until I find her.
