I could not believe the words, though I could see the truth plainly enough in Ryder’s eyes.
As if it was not enough to lose my father, to find out that I had also lost the man who left his family, his pack, his home, to see that I was trained to fight, who worked tirelessly to improve the relations between our two packs- I was beyond devastated.
