The atmosphere was enveloped in a palpable darkness, an abyss that seemed to stretch endlessly. Panic gripped Eva's heart, and she desperately searched for something, anything, to anchor herself to. The darkness lacked any discernible form, leaving her feeling suspended in the air, yet the surface beneath her remained solid. Suddenly, a gust of wind erupted, swirling and tossing around her. A shiver crawled up Eva's spine as fear coursed through her veins. Desperate and filled with despair, she cried out for help, but her words seemed to dissipate into nothingness. Then, a deep voice emerged from the darkness, resonating with an unsettling tone. "You summoned me, remember," it uttered, the very sound of it grating on her nerves. "I did not summon you, please let me go!" Eva's sobs echoed through the darkness, the sound distorted as though she was submerged in water. In the blink of an eye, her surroundings shifted and she found herself immersed under the weight of water. Desperately, she thrashed and struggled against the currents, fighting to keep herself afloat. Suddenly, a voice broke through the rushing water. "Hey!" it yelled, and a figure dived into the water beside her. Swiftly, he wrapped his arm around Eva's chest, guiding her back to the safety of the shore. Eva coughed and sputtered, expelling water from her lungs. Covered in slimy seaweed and grime, she blinked her eyes open, squinting against the brightness of the sun. A man leaned over her, concern etched on his face. "Are you okay?" he asked, but Eva's disoriented state left her unable to respond. "Mr. Williams, the carriage is here," a young man announced. "Bring her to my house and make sure she receives proper care," the man instructed. Confusion took hold of Eva as she struggled to comprehend her situation. A carriage? What was going on? Her mind swirled with questions as she was carried away to an uncertain fate. With great care, A young man lifted Eva and gently placed her inside a wooden box. Eva's mind raced with uncertainty as she wondered if this was what a carriage was like. The sound of instructions being hastily given and the neighing of horses filled her ears. The journey ahead was a bumpy one, causing her to groan uncomfortably as the carriage made its way to the destination. Fear and confusion swirled within Eva, stiffening her body as she grappled with the unsettling reality of the situation. Deep down, she knew that something wasn't right, but the immersive experience felt incredibly vivid, blurring the lines between illusion and truth. Eventually, the carriage ride came to a halt, and Eva was assisted out of the carriage. She paused for a moment to take in the magnitude of the grand house before her. Its massive structure loomed before her. A Victorian house stood before Eva, its steep and gabled roof reaching towards the sky. The windows boasted intricate designs, and pale yellow flowers adorned the lawn. As Eva took in her surroundings, an unearthly calm washed over her, as the warmth of the sun gently caressed her skin. Sitting in a tub filled with water, Eva couldn't help but shiver as the maiden diligently scrubbed away the grime from her skin. Offering reassurance, the older maiden comforting said, "Don't worry, dear. I will ensure that you are well taken care of." She introduced Tamara, who would serve as Eva's personal maid during her stay. Tamara smiled warmly as she continued her work, attending to Eva's body. Once the older maid departed, Tamara began to chatter, sharing details about her Master. "Mr. Williams is a caring man to have found you," she remarked. Her eyes filled with admiration as she worked on Eva's hair. "You have such beautiful hair, I rarely see anyone with strawberry blonde hair. Curiosity piqued Eva as she inquired, "Who is Mr. Williams?" Tamara's smile widened as she replied, "He is my master.Here sit I have the finest cloth for you" Eva could barely breath in the dress, she found the corset unnecessary and uncomfortable just to sit in door all day. She began to feel weary. The sun that once shone bright began to set, all Eva did was stare out the window everything looked magical even the green of the grass glittered, the ray of sunlight that drifted into the room seemed to prickle her skin she loved it here. knock knock!. Williams came into her room. Eva gazed at him as he walked towards her. His chestnut eyes complimented his tan skin as his silk smooth laid back. His jet black hair made him look like a rare model. "You seem to love this place already" he smiled at her. "Yes I do". She smiled back. Feeling a bit unease under his stare she stood up from the bay window. "This dress, is a bit to much for me" she said as she lay her hand over her dress in attempt to adjust herself in it. " You will get use to it, give it time .Will you like to talk a walk?" "Sure " she replied. Williams rushed to the door in gentle steps. He held the door open for her. She had paid no attention to the passage when she came in the first time. Now she noticed the the large picture frame of a lady in red, her face shone with brilliance. " Who is that". Eva asked Ignoring her, Williams held her hands which took Eva by surprise. looking to him in surprise he said. "I will treat you like family". He grained at her as he led her through the passage and out into the garden. Stretching across expansive acres of land, the garden exuded an enduring beauty, even in the dim light of the evening. Its allure remained undiminished as twilight cast a gentle glow upon the surroundings. At the heart of the garden stood a statue of a naked man, proudly displayed as a centerpiece. The pathways meandered through this verdant paradise, dividing the garden into five distinct sections. Each section boasted a captivating display of diverse flowers and trees, a botanical tapestry that drew Eva's gaze in awe and wonder. As the sun hastened its descent, casting soft hues in the sky, Mr. Williams guided Eva to a nearby bench. With a gesture of invitation, he invited her to sit, allowing her to fully immerse herself in the tranquil ambiance of the garden. It was a moment to pause, to soak in the beauty and serenity that surrounded them. " You need not worry the moon is full tonight, we can stay here a while" " Do you own all this " Eva asked as she gazed upon the the fire flies that danced above the grass. " I inherited it from my father, but my father is retired in Richmond, while I look over they estates here in Nashwell" he answered For a minute he stared at Eva, how petite she look. The curls of her hair accentuating her face and the slender of her neck, her skin pale with tenderness. He let his eyes linger on her chest before he let go. " What led you to the river" he asked with a look of concern. "Uhmm I... I don't remember" Eva breath out in frustration. "Oh please calm down, its alright, take your time". He patted her back. For a while they sat in silence, they watched as the reflection of the moon danced on the water body of the pond at a distance. " We would be late for dinner if we don't go now" said Willams as he rose. stretching his hands forward he asked. "May I ". Smiling Eva placed her hands in his palm as the walked back into the house. The dining room was adorned with a festive and inviting ambiance. At the center of the table lay a majestic whole turkey, beautifully presented and adorned with slices of vibrant lemons, giving it a visually captivating appeal. The table was further adorned with trays overflowing with a variety of luscious fruits, their colors and textures creating a delectable feast for the eyes. Alongside the tantalizing display of fruits, a bowl of warm potato soup sat gracefully, its aroma filling the air and enticing the taste buds. The combination of savory and sweet, the vibrant colors and tantalizing scents, created an exquisite spread that left Eva amazed and captivated. Eva asked "Are your family members joining us". Williams caught by Surprise laughed at her question. " Forgive me but why do you ask." "The food, it's too much, we can't both eat all this" " No we can't, but this is to celebrate your presence here." He smiled at her. Eva sat at the opposite side of the table away for him. Cling!, Willams rang a small bell. The maids filed into the dinning room with jars of wine and sparkling water. A patter of food which contains grapes, streamed broccoli and chicken was served to her. She took a bite of the chicken and was amazed by the taste. Its succulent flesh so juicy in her mouth she immediately had another bit, filling her mouth with its tasteful flesh. Even the broccoli tasted so rich, she wondered at the hand that made it. "This taste so good she proclaimed" as she went on to stuff the grape in her mouth. Even as she ate she did not feel full. Williams watched her attentively. She was a good one and at this moment he was going to do everything to keep her. "We should make a toss" "To what ugh, good food ?" Eva asked " To better days ahead" he replied. Standing up he walked towards her filled her cup with wine that looks as red as his blood. "To better days" . The cups clicked together and he watched her drink of it. He loved her hunger, he loved this kind. He thought; they are the easy kind, Always and he loved the ride already. Now drunken with food and wine. Williams demand the maids the take her into her room. "Make sure the mirrors are out of her room" Yes sir the maid courtesy before she left. Williams, walked into the basement where rebecca stayed. "Oh my lonely one" he beamed as he approached her. "You won't be lonely anymore". he said to her as he turned her cheek so her could get a full look on her face. He kissed her as she struggled to pull away. She pushed him. "You lied" she yelled. "Hush will you" . He held her neck as he threatened her "It will take just a snap and you will be gone, so you better behave." Stiffed in fear Rebecca withdrew as she sobbed. She sat on the cold floor of her room, this retch of a man had made her life a living hell. But she would not let him win. Eva felt relief as the corset was taken off of her, filling her lungs with fresh air, her drunken eyes were ready sleep. Once again she found herself in the void.
