During a summer break from the university at Fairport, Professor Hilary Rickenbacker and his manservant Teddy travelled to an archaeological site in a dry basin just a few miles from the Glasslands. The professor had told the volunteers who had come to join him that this was not about getting inside the graves, but the tombs themselves. Rickenbacker had become obsessed with a language called Angular 4. Nobody had been able to translate it, and the old man knew they needed to find more examples, and where better to find a dead language than a giant graveyard.
