I sat, looking around at my surroundings. I was in the back seat of a familiar minivan—it had cloth seats and lightly tinted windows. I grew up riding in this minivan. Everywhere I looked felt like it was in slow motion and had a glow around everything, it was surreal. I looked at the front seat and saw my mother sitting there, driving, looking just as I remembered her before my memories were altered.
