I watched as Everett turned away from me and stared off into the distance and I could tell he was talking to someone.
"What's wrong?" I asked him as his eyes lowered to the bed before coming up to meet mine.
"They caught Ashley, and they said someone else was with her." He said, making a motion to get out of bed.
"I want to go with you!" I jumped up, eagerly running to the closet to pull on a sweater.
He shook his head, "No, no. It's too dangerous, what if it's a trap?" He paused, giving me a pleading look.
"If it's a trap then I'll be saving your ass, as always!" I told him cheerily.
He couldn't help but chuckle at that, "Look, why do you even want to go?" I turned away from him as I pulled on my leggings.
