Chapter 21The pounding rain against the black windows made a constant staccato while the deep rumblings of thunder sounded like battle guns on ships in the open sea. The aroma of turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie made my stomach rumble competing with the thunder while we waited for the Thanksgiving turkey to finish cooking so that we all could eat. I'd been here at Randy's house since seven this morning helping Constance with the meal prep and catching up on things. I was happy to be able to have a normal moment, for once.
