Chapter 16Escorted through the wide doors, I bit my lower lip, looking at the white coach. My eyes going to its wheels. It was Penelope's coach I had seen in my visions a few moments ago. The wheel in my vision had been painted white with gold accents. My vision had shown something going wrong with the wheel, but what, I didn't know. I stared at the coach trying to bring it back. Penelope's shrill voice filled the portico. Lanterns, hung at each corner, poured gold light over us and colored the papery-whiteness of Drakulya's face amber. Penelope's face seemed more ashen than I recalled, and, I could be mistaken, but there seemed to be the hint of dark circles under her eyes, and I recalled only yesterday morning she looked quite bright-eyed, and her skin tone was more the peaches-n-cream
