“Hello,” Lacey said, somewhat distracted. She stopped working on her transcript and pulled her eyes away from the computer.
“Hi. May I speak to Ms. Thorton, please?” said the voice on the other end.
All ears, Lacey perked up on her end. “This is she.”
“This is Ms. Thompson, the assistant vice principal from Ontario Christian School. I —”
