“Come on, sleepyhead,” Seth said. “I’m going to get her home,” he told John and Karen. “Yeah, go on. You guys have done enough, really,” Karen assured Lacey. She looked at her husband, and they both moved at the same time toward the front door. John gave Seth a pat on the back. “Thanks for all your help, you guys. Come on. We’ll walk you out.” Seth held Lacey’s door open and helped her step up into the truck. “I forgot my jacket; I’ll be right back.” Lacey smiled and leaned back into the seat, happily exhausted.
