“Jake, can you get the door, please?” Lacey shouted out from her bedroom. The only response was the ringing of the doorbell again. Exasperated and frustrated, Lacey put down her book as well as the attempt at some leisure reading and headed downstairs for the door. The doorbell sounded one more time before she made it to the entryway. “Okay. Okay,” she muttered, thinking it was probably one of the kids for band practice. She pulled the door open hurriedly. She was in no way prepared for who stood right in front of her, on her doorstep, all bold and brazen. “What in the heck are you doing here?” Lacey nearly yelled. She stood in the small opening of the door, making it clear she wasn’t letting him in. “And how did you know where I live?” she asked incredulously. “Well, hello to you too,”
