I let Xavier take charge of his little trap, and I took off to the Alpha Quarters. Ayla waited for me, a bit annoyed.
"Are you seriously only going to let me sit here and wait?" She asked.
I gave her a soft smile, and pulled her into my room, closing the door behind us.
"Ayla," I said and sighed, dropping my gaze to the floor. How do I explain to her that this was the most important job?
Ayla waited patiently for me to answer her questions, while I struggled to find the correct words to explain things to her.
