“Mason! Help me!!” she screamed for me to save her, just like in my nightmare. Not long after, I saw a nurse came in and injected her with some drugs. Kate wasn’t able to move after the nurse left her. I felt a pain in my chest. I was unable to save her and go there right now to comfort her. I clenched my fist. Lucas put his phone back. “Where is she? Lucas? What did you do to her?” I asked him. “It’s only a mild sedative. Completely harmless.” He said lightly. “So? The ball is in your hands now, you can decide when you will give me the money. And don’t even think of bringing the police into this. Her life was at my fingertips.” He continued to threaten us. “We’ll give you half of the money first. You have to tell us the address. Only then we will pay the remaining half to you.
