Chapter 7

851 Words
Mia and Cora woke up to someone banging on the door. Mia climbs out of bed and walks to the door to open it. "Who is it?" Mia asked as she opened the door. "Mia, Cora, come quick! Something is going on in one of the Princes' rooms," A warrior told them. The girls rush out of Mia's room and down the hall where their mates are. Upon arriving, they see Aiden's door is wide open and hear voices from inside. Mia starts walking to the door when she smells the most intoxicating smell of oranges and freshly cut grass. "Cora, my mate, is in Prince Aiden's room; what should I do?" "Well, I guess we should go in and find out who it is then," Cora suggested smiling. They began to walk into Aiden's room when Leo burst out of the door and stopped them, "Mia, Cora, What are you doing here? I sent for the Alpha and Beta." "Good morning to you too, mate," Cora responds, looking hurt. "As to why we are here, a warrior woke us up and told us something was going on down the hall. After we left, he rushed up the stairs to the Alpha's quarters." Then, Ethan comes running down the stairs. "Prince Leo, What is going on? One of my warriors broke a door trying to get to me. He said something was wrong down here." Frustrated, Mia pushed past Leo to find Ally pinned against the wall by fairy magic and Aiden laying in bed with his stomach sliced open. "Oh my gosh! What happened here? Are you okay?" Mia frantically asked, running up to Aiden's bed to stop the bleeding. As Mia attended to Aiden, the rest asked, "What in the hell is going on? Didn't I tell you to leave the Princes and the girls alone?" Ethan yells as he walks up to Ally, who has an evil smile on her face. "Alpha Ethan, if I may, according to Aiden, she spelled him to where he could not speak, then proceeded to try and have her way with him. But when Aiden refused and tried to knock her out without causing any damage, she cut him with a silver blade to prevent him from moving. At this point, he mind-linked me for help. I pinned her to the wall when I came in and ordered one of the warriors to get you." " So, why are you two here?" Ethan asked when Mia and Aiden locked eyes; the next few moments were a blur for Mia. "Mate," came from Mia. Before anyone could stop her, she had Ally by the throat and had thrown her across the room. "How dare you try to force yourself on my Mate?" Cora realized it was no longer Mia in control but her wolf, Liz. Cora sped over and put herself between Mia and Ally. "Liz, I know Ally wronged you, but you must let the Princes or Alpha Ethan deal with her. I know you and Mia don't want to go down this path, not when your Mate needs you." Liz tilts her head to the side and looks down at Ally, growls, then allows Mia control. "I am so sorry, Alpha Ethan; I didn't mean to lose control like that." "Mia, it's okay; I understand. I almost beat the crap out of Alice's boyfriend when I found out we were mates." Mia says to Aiden, "I guess Cora was right; you are my mate." Aiden takes Mia's hand, "Thank you for being protective of me, but I think I need to go to the hospital to get the silver out of my blood." "Okay, Mia, take a few warriors and get Aiden to the hospital. Alpha Ethan, I think we should pull Ally into the pack cells with no visitation and have someone trail her friends," Cora said while warriors came in, some of them helped Mia, while the others pulled Ally up and put handcuffs laced with wolfsbane on her. "Look at you already acting like a future queen," Ethan said while hugging Cora, " You heard her get it done." Cora turned beet red and hid in Leo's chest. "Why don't I walk you back to Mia's room so that you can get changed and grab Mia some clothes as well," Leo asked, looking down at Cora. "Okay, it would be nice to get out of these clothes," Cora responds as they walk out of Aiden's room and down the hall. When they reached Mia's room, Cora picked up her makeshift bed to put it away in the closet. When she returns from the cabinet, Leo sits on the edge of Mia's bed with his head in his hands. "Leo, honey, is everything okay?" "I can't believe Aiden got hurt because of me," Leo says, looking up at Cora. "Hey, it's not your fault. Nobody knew Ally was a psycho." "Yeah, I guess you're right." "I am, you know it. Now let's go see how Aiden is doing." Cora takes Leo's hand and leads him to the pack hospital.
