Chapter 10

1139 Words
They were all sitting in Ethan's office after the guards took Amber to the hospital, and the other two were escorted downstairs. "Jack, go ahead and head over to the training center." "You got it, boss," Jack responded as he left the room. "Now, let's discuss our next steps," Olivia said. "Well, the girls need to have the transfer documents filled out and filed before we leave tomorrow to finish our tour of the packs." "Don't worry about the tour, Leo. Once you found your Mate, I called all the packs and explained that you would need time with your new Mate," William informed them. "So instead of rushing to pack, we can have a couple of days?" Mia asked. "Yea, what she said," Cora chimed in. Everyone laughed, "You all realize we are not joking, right?" Cora asked, somewhat amused. "Yes, Baby, we know you're not joking. You two are funny when you both try to tag-team a question," Leo responded with a smile. Cora turned a bright shade of red while Mia snickered. "Okay, let's fill out these forms and get a move on," Cora demanded, trying to divert the attention. A few hours later, the girls and their Mates were in Cora's bedroom packing her things. "How much stuff does one girl need?" Aiden asked, looking at the fifty boxes already filled and then at the half of the room that was left to pack. "Look here, buddy, not all of this is mine. Mia and I share a closet, which means half of this is hers, and half of her wardrobe is mine." "It's true; these two have always shared everything. It's what has made them the best of friends," Henry stated as he walked into Cora's room, "I just came by to let you know that there will be a feast tonight in honor of you both leaving and that the moving truck is here." Leo looked at Aiden, "Moving truck? I guess it's a good thing our rooms are attached to our living room. There's no way all of these boxes would fit into just one bedroom." "You got that right." A few hours later, with the help of everyone's family, both Cora's and Mia's rooms were packed up and ready to leave the following day. "Well, I guess it is time to prepare for the feast. Why don't we leave you, girls, to get ready?" Aiden asked. Mia moved to her bed, "Hey, what happened to our dresses that we laid out on the bed?" "Your mom came by and told us to go ahead and pack them because our parents bought you both brand new dresses. Unfortunately, your dad was a little wrong about tonight; it's a ball, not a feast, so mom and dad upgraded your dresses." Leo said, wrapping his arms around Cora. "What do you mean upgraded our dresses?" Cora asked, rounding on Leo. "Just trust me, Please?" Leo responded. "Okay, whatever you say," Cora replied, kissing his cheek. "Alright, time for the boys to leave so that the girls can get ready," Olivia called out, coming down the hallway. "That means Leo, Aiden, vacate the premises or else," Betty announced, coming into the room with Aurora following behind. "The guys are waiting on you over by your rooms," Aurora commented, pushing both boys out of the bedroom and closing the door. "Okey-dokey, let's get down to business, girls," Olivia said excitedly, "Now close your eyes and no peeking until we are done, got it?" "Yes, ma'am," the girls responded in unison. About an hour later, the girls were all dressed and ready. "Oh wow, Olivia, these are exceptionally beautiful," Mia gushed, twirling around in hers. "I had them made according to your scents that the boys smell and their outfits will match your dresses," Olivia informed them. The girls were admiring their dresses when their dads came to get them. "You both look breath-taking," Henry complimented the girls as he walked into the room, followed by Jack. "That would be an understatement, Henry," Jack argued, They are beyond breath-taking." "If you both are done kissing tail, we have a ball to get to," Betty smarted off. "Henry, Jack, would you two mind escorting the girls downstairs to where their Mates are waiting," Olivia asked nicely. The girls took their father's arms and made their way downstairs. Leo POV It had been over an hour since they had left the girls, and it had Eddie on edge. "Leo, I don't like this; I have a bad feeling in my gut," Eddie told his counterpart. "Eddie, chill out; mother mind-linked me and told me they are being escorted downstairs by their dads. Can't you smell our Mate?" Just then, the girls and their fathers came down the stairs. Cora stopped in front of Leo and looked him up and down. Leo stood there, mouth open, staring at Cora, "Babe, I don't have the words to describe you, at least not out loud." Cora wore a strapless white dress at the top, faded into blood red at the bottom, and had a belt of lotus flowers white with a blood red center to complete the look. In contrast, Leo wore a white suit with a blood-red tie and a handkerchief with a white and blood-red lotus flower. Aiden POV I was waiting with Leo at the bottom of the stairs when I saw her, and my jaw dropped. Mia wore an off-the-shoulder lace strapless dress; the dress was white with lavender-colored lilies. We matched; I was wearing a white suit with a lavender-colored tie and a handkerchief with a lavender lily. "Wow, you look amazing, Mia; I love that we match," Aiden expressed. "You look handsome, as well. I wonder why your mom matched us?" "To show that you are Mated to royalty, sweet girl." All POV They all turned to see the King and Queen descending the stairs dressed in a one-shoulder dress with a high-slit in the leg that was sunflower yellow and faded into gold diamonds with high-heel sandals with sunflowers on the top. The King wore a black suit with a gold tie and a handkerchief with a sunflower. "Oh my, Olivia, you look stunning in that dress." "Why, thank you. The palace seamstress made all of our clothes." "Well, whoever they are, they have good taste in clothes," Cora replied. "You got that right," Mia agreed. "Alright, let's get this show on the road. You know how I hate these things," William stated. "But you're the King," Mia pondered. "Yes, but being King is about more than attending fancy parties where a bunch of the people are acting fake to get in good with 'The King'," William replied. "I guess I can understand that," Mia commented as they all walked in and took their places.
