432 Words
Leo's POV I feel this strong urge to make it to the Midnight Moon Pack by tonight instead of stopping to rest. "Aiden, do you think we could move up our timeline?" Leo asks his brother. "We can, but it will be late in the day when we get to the packhouse. With that said, "Let's go to the school first," Aiden replied. "Good idea; call the Alpha of the Midnight Moon Pack to see if they can make arrangements for us to arrive tonight." "You got it," Aiden paused, "Can I ask why the sudden change in plans?" "I have this strange feeling that I need to be there by tonight; Eddie doesn't like it." "So you're saying your mate could be there?" "I guess so; I have never felt like this before," Leo responds as they get out at the local high school for the supernatural. Leo and Aiden are hit with two different mouthwatering smells at that time."Do you smell that, Aiden?" "I smell lilies and lavender. Why, what do you smell?" "It's like a lotus flower with jasmine and a hint of fresh blood, but it's not as disgusting as one might think," Leo told Aiden as they both walked to the front office to talk with the principal about an assembly and early release. They spend the next couple of hours getting the auditorium ready and letting all the teachers know to have the kids in the auditorium by 11 am so they can be out in time for lunch. A little while later, the auditorium is packed full of supernatural. Leo walks onto the stage followed by his brother, they can both tell that their mates are there, but it is too dark to see them. "Given that the people who are a part of Midnight Moon are going home, I believe it is only fair for everyone to be able to leave and do as they wish with the rest of their day," Leo announced as the crowd of kids gets excited about getting out early. Eddie catches the scent of their Mate and wants to follow; Leo decides to go with his gut and give her time but changes his mind when he picks up fear along with it. He follows the scent to the girl's bathroom, where he hears laughing and a girl crying. Leo sees no choice but to kick the door in for fear of his Mate. As he walks in, he finds three girls blocking the other girl from leaving. "Mate," Eddie booms out. The girls turn around in shock.
