While I was gone Susie wasted no time. She smiled at an older, tall, distinguished man who had been checking her out. When she gave him a little smile and a nod, he approached.
"Why haven't you offered to buy me a drink?" she said in an innocent tone.
The man looked her up and down and chuckled, "I thought you were with that boy."
Susie touched his arm, "Oh, the boy won't mind if I have a drink with you. If I have more than that though I might get a little wild."
The man wasted no time in ordering both of them another drink and they were standing close, talking, drinking and laughing when I returned.
I walked up to them but Susie continued telling a story while I quietly stood there. My heart was racing with mixed emotions as I couldn't help imagining if I was going to be watching the
