“We brought him here because he said that you can save him,” Red said trying to defend them. “We’re not your enemy.”
“You might not be, but he is,” the large man reputed. “Get the weapons,” he then ordered the other naked men.
Quickly, two of the men approached Hunter and collected his weapons.
“What are you going to do with us?” Red asked sensing it was her time to protect Hunter.
“Depends on what happens to Tem. You don’t have to tell us what happened. The Butcher bringing him back to us almost dead says it all,” the man said kneeling over Tem’s body.
“He didn’t know,” Red argued. “Tell them, Hunter.”
“I didn’t know. I would never have done what I have if I knew,” Hunter said almost to drained to talk.
