Red said nothing else before leaving and soon Hunter found himself alone. How soon was his execution now? Hours? Days? Hunter didn’t know but every second he experienced felt like both a blessing and a curse.
It wasn’t that night, but the night that followed when something finally happened. It was much later in the night than Hunter would have thought such things would. But with only a slight glow from the fire outside the tent, Tem entered.
Lying on the ground, Hunter sat up. Staring at him, he discovered that Tem was naked. The boy had a beautifully perfect body, and hanging from his left hand was a bucket. If Tem’s plan was to turn into a wolf and maul him, Hunter understood why he would enter naked. But, what was the bucket for? Was Tem planning on drowning him first?
