"What is it? What happened?" Jack and Johnny asked at the same time, consecutively when Rowan dropped the call.
"Mabel is dead," Rowan said softly.
"What!" They both exclaimed.
"How? What happened?" Jack asked, looking at Johnny whose face had turned pale from the shock before returning his gaze to Rowan.
"She fell from a collapsing building and the last person she contacted was Amanda. As a matter of fact, she found her body." Rowan said. Even though he was talking to Johnny and Jack, his mind was far away.
