23. Musky Scent

Savannah crossed the elevator and was near her room. When suddenly her stomach started hurting as if someone twisted her insides.

"Aaghh.." She bent over and put her hand on the wall for support. She couldn't stand properly.

Cold sweat beads came on her forehead.

Anna breathed heavily and her stomach hurted even more.

She spitted a mouthfull of blood and breathed heavily which in turn hurt her even more.

She put her entire weight on the wall and black dots came in front of her eyes.

She was losing consciousness.

Her face twisted with immense pain.

Just before she was going to greet the tiled floor a strong pair of arms caught her from behind and a light musky scent entered her nostrils.

She couldn't hold herself any longer and fell limp in the strong arms of the musky scented man.

Kai was busy the whole day. And losing the important clue and information, that he could have gotten if only his men worked a little efficiently, put him in a very very bad mood.

He coldly glared and scared everyone that even come in a ten-meter radius around him.

His single glare was enough for the buff men to run away as if their tails were on fire.

Adrian and Kai were working on a project for the company.

When the butler of the main house called. Reporting the condition of the man in the mansion.

The man he had beaten to death.

The man went into a comma. There was no saying when he would wake up. The doctors couldn't do anything either.

But today the Butler reported that there was a slight movement in the man's hand.

There might be some chances of him waking up.

Kai decided to pay the doctor who treated the man a visit himself. He himself wanted to know when the man would wake up. He needed more information from him.

Many secrets are with that man. And that important information is very crucial for him. He might got a clue about her.

Kai and Adrian were so busy in handling the company and underground business that they forgot about the time.

It was already very late but Kai being his usual stubborn self decided to meet with the doctor in the middle of the night despite Adrian's nagging and begging that its already very late and that they could visit him tomorrow.

But Kai shuted him up with.

"The next day has already started."

Kai grabbed his coat and headed out to the hospital.

Adrian didn't had any choice he just followed him out slightly irritated.

He was missing on his precious sleep. Because of the stubbornness of a hot headed and stubborn person.

Adrian rolled his sleepy eyes and walked out.

Midcity Hospital was a very well known hospital that had best of the doctors in London. As it was located in the middle of the city so it was named Midcity Hospital.

It was nearly 3 am when Kai and Adrian came to the hospital and went to the 7th floor where the doctors cabin was.

Just as the elevator opened he saw a girl with long brown hairs taking the support of the wall. She was a patient as she was in hospital gown. Her petite body look in pain.

Just as he saw her spitting a mouth full of blood. His legs automatically took him to the falling girl.

Kai Anderson the boy who won't give a glance to a dying man couldn't stop himself from going towards the brown-haired waist-length girl. His hands automatically came around her and the girls back touched his chest. Her light lavender smell was soothing.

Adrian watched the girls condition and went to call the doctor immediately.

The girl went limp in his arms her head was covered by thick gauze and her face got covered with her long hairs.

Anna would have cursed her otherwise precious hair if she has seen how they covered her face. It looked as if her busted hairs weren't combed for a week. But if she had known that the musky scented man was none other than her sleeping classmate than she would have glued her hairs to her face.

Her forehead was covered with gauze while half of her face was hidden behind her intelligent hairs that has decided to save her.

Only a quarter of her face was visible to Kai.

And he could easily see that the girl was beautiful. With her chubby cheeks and her plump lips although they were dry at the moment.

Doctor Henderson came with Adrian and guided Kai to carry the girl to her room. As he was on night duty so he knew on this floor he knew about the patients condition.

Kai wasn't able to see the girls face as he immediately went out after putting her on the bed.

The doctor checked Anna and called a nurse to supervise her. He gave her some painkillers through the IV.

The doctor explained them about John's condition. Although he wasn't the one who treated him. He knew about his case.

Although he showed some signs of movement but it wasn't confirm that he would wake up. But the chances of him waking up will be higher now that he showed some movement. the doctor couldn't say anything until and unless the man really woke up. Even if he woke up, seeing the degree of his wounds, it wasn't sure if he would ever be able to live normally. But of course in another case the man could also be completely fit and fine.

In short, It all depends on when he would wake up. And the doctors can't predict or guess a specific time of him waking up.

Kai and Adrian went back home. Adrian straight away went to his room and plopped on the bed and he immediately slept.

Kai's mind however was occupied with the lavender scent girl whose face he couldn't see.
