Masked Innocence

Blunder

They both laid on the ground for an hour with a peaceful silence. Steven was about to sleep when he felt the ugly nymphs stare.

Savannah was making sure if he was sleeping or not. She had regained her wits and was now thinking of making an escape. Of course, she wouldn't sit around like a lamb ready to be served to the devil.

Savannah stood up silently.

Steven felt her standing up trying to be as silent and as quick as possible.

His eyes were closed and he didn't show any expression on his face.

"He's sleeping."

Anna whispered to her self, Steven also heard her.

She stood up and came near him. Her shadow stopped the sunlight to reach his face.

"If only you weren't such a bastard." Anna spat venomously thinking that he was sleeping.

If she would have known that he was wee awake she wouldn't dare not even in her dreams she would dare to say this on his face.

She was a very docile and innocent girl who didn't know how to curse after all.

"I wish to beat you. If you dare come after me again I will kick you where the sun doesn't shine. Do you hear me. Remember what I said. Humph."

Anna proudly walked away after telling her heart out to the seemingly sleeping boy.

Steven who heard her was shocked for a while he wanted to get angry but he just wasn't able to react like how he would have. he wanted to lash out on her but he didn't wanted to lash out her at the same time.

He became irritated with himself.

Savannah happily walked a few steps away from him. there was a big smile on her face. But as she walked a few steps away from the supposed sleeping boy her smile slowly slowly vanished.

She wasn't feeling as good as she thought she would feel after cursing the blonde bastard but this feeling was just not right. She wasn't feeling that internal peace which she usually felt after bad-mouthing the bullies and her enemy's just like before.

perhaps he is sleeping that's why.

I should have told him this when he was awake and could hear what I said.

The act I pulled before was a cowardly

one.

Savannah swiftly turned back and again walked toward him.

Steven who didn't opened his eyes still thinking and pondering over the ugly girls words again felt a shadow coming on his face.

"I am sorry. I know I shouldn't have said what I said before. I was angry. and it was my right to be angry. I am apologizing again."

Savannah was silent for a while.

Steven wanted to smile at her antics. He decided that he wouldn't make her life difficult as she apologized so sincerely. he was about to open his eyes but stopped hearing what she said after a while.

"My conscience didn't allow me to say this to your sleeping self. I will say this on your face when you are wide awake and all my words gets registered in your brain one day.."

Savannah lighted fire from a spark.

A huge fire. Perhaps.

"very happily." she added and then skipped back to the building.

Steven just laid there. he opened his eyes and was still thinking about what she said just now. and her tone. from her tone she from no where looked like a nerd who could be easily bullied.

Steven suddenly laughed.

There were so many things to be discovered.
