26. Time Limit

Hudson looked at his stubborn daughter. He knew what she meant for Anna. What she did for her.
Even he himself wanted to continue the investigation at that time but his hands were bound. He was a mere investigator at that time and when he received those threats c*m orders he knew what he had to do.
Savannah doesn't have a clue whom she is going against. Even he himself was not clear about what had conspired but he knew one thing and that was that he had to keep his daughter safe. The people behind that scandal weren't a small group. Even the police didn't dare go against the higher unjust orders.
No matter how much their conscious protested and shouted he and anyone else didn't dare open the case again.
The murder case which was disguised as a suicide.
A high school girl suicide because she was tires of life.
What a big lame joke. Since she was tired of living, tired of breathing so the 17-year-old committed suicide.
The 17 year old girl who was an energy ball, who didn't sit in a single place for more than an hour. Who finds reason to smile everytime and also make others smile.
The girl who was the very sole reason why Savannah was even alive.
Savannah's eyes burned with tears.
Tears of helplessness.
Tears of Loneliness.
Tears of Unjustice.
Tears of pain, that her sister went through.
Tears of anger, that she couldn't do anything.
Tears of hatred, hatred that will burn the very being who hurted her.
Tears of hatred that are still burning inside her for her own self.
Tears of self-loathness, that she wasn't there when her sister needed her the most.
Tears that her heart sheds everyday thinking about her.
Tears that shreds her in pieces everytime she thinks about the cruelty of the world towards the 17-year-old innocent girl.
The girl who gave her another life and a reason to live.
Savannah took a deep breath difficulty, and gulped the lump that formed in her throat. She was chooking.
She couldn't breath. Her hands shook violently and her vision was getting blur

"star come...follow me... you are a shining star..." the distant voice of a young girl ringed in Savvanahs head.
Hudson immediately stood up and engulfed his daughter in a safe bear hug. He made her drink water and immediately went to take her medicines from her room.
Anna shook violently.
Breathing heavily
She couldn't feel the air entering her lungs. Her lungs burned.
Savannah fell down from the chair shaking badly. Her head reviving the memories buried deep in her heart. The happiest memories that were a cause of immense pain for her now.
"f..for.gi.ve...me......forg..ive..me.." Anna continued to mumble as she clutched her shirt just above her heart as if trying to stop the pain spreading from her heart to every part.
Hudson hurriedly ran down with her medicines and made her gulp them. He hugged her as she sobbed painfully.

Savannah laid in her bed staring at the ceiling.
Nothing went according to the script. You are an emotional brat.
What was that panic attack about?
"It wasn't a panic attack" Anna justified herself to herself loudly.
Then what was that. A surprise.( her subconscious rolled her eyes).
At least he agreed.
A smile came on her face as she remembered her fathers word.

They were sitting in the TV lounge.
A hot cup of coffee in their hands.
Mr. Hudson decided to seriously discuss this matter with Savannah.
A possible solution that will benefit both of them.
"Savvy...." he called softly.
He used to call her that whenever she acted stubbornly. And he had no choice but to agree because he knew whatever he will say or do won't change her decision.
"I can't allow anything to happen to you. I...I'll give you 6 months not a single day above, if you can't find the evidence and is unable to find the culprit. You will have to do what I say. I won't accept any of your tantrums. Even if we have to move from this city. We will move, as long as you come clean of your conscience and burden."
He said very calmly and slowly making sure she listened every word and understood it.
Mr. Hudson looked at Anna knowing very well what he was about to say will irk her and she probably wont accept such condition but he had to make sure that his daughter is safe and sound. He didn't wanted his daughter to fall knee deep in that cruel and dirty world that will make it difficult for her to come out.
"After 6 months..You will leave this case forever and won't think about it. ( Savannahs eyes widened) if you can't find anything you will leave it as it is. You will clean your hands from this case and I will not listen to you in this matter."
"You have 6 months do what you want. investigate however you want. Do anything, except killing anyone, to gather enough evidence that it is a murder case. But after 6 months, I won't allow you to even speak a single syllable in this matter. It doesn't matter if you succeed or not."
Mr. Hudson said seriously and walked to his room.
Anna knew that there will be no going back after this time is over.

"Let's start then,
Let's solve it in our way"
Anna said loudly. Highly motivated.
Just go to sleep already. Do everything after waking up.
