8. Nightmare of the past

John was a detective, not just any detective but he has been working for the government for more than ten years now. He, just like Anna, has spend his teenage years in the police station.

He was the head of HILL investigation team.

There was once a real difficult m*********r case in the hills which took many years and there was still no proof and the culprits were free.

John with his team was successful in cracking the case after six months of hardwork, giving them the name HILL team.

It was the best investigation team in the whole country, they helped even the government with some important cases. The agents were not only intelligent but also trained highly. If they are caught, which happens rarely they knew how to keep their mouth shut.

This time john himself was working undercover as a spy for the Russian mafia, who asked him to spy on the European mafia, involving him in both of them, the police can't contact him for two weeks now. They thought that he might not get time to contact them but when there was no trace of him even after searching for him in the places he might be they understood that he was in some deep trouble. Because he was never the one to go missing just like that.

Sera continued to cry, the women was deeply in love with him.

There was a high chance that he might be dead.

Anna could only give moral support to Sera, as both of them didn't knew what he was investigating about this time.

Anna reached home with sera late at night. Hudson has already gone to sleep as Anna has informed him that she will come hime with Sera.

Anna grabbed the spaghetti bowl from the fridge and took two forks. She went and sat with sera on the sofa in the living room.

"Come eat something" Anna handed her the fork.

"I don't feel like eating" her voice was horse from crying.

"Don't give me that, I know you, you could eat this whole bowl alone" Anna said stuffing her mouth with spaghetti.

Sera looked at her disappointingly, she was really sensitive at the moment, big fat tears gathered in her eyes.

She's about to open her dam again.

"I.. meen you eet mooe whee yoe ssdd"

Anna said with food in her mouth.

She didn't looked at sera anymore and continued her eating conquest.

Sera who didn't understand a single word she said just sniffed and also dig in the bowl of spaghetti.

Kai give a visit to his guest, who was in a small clinic inside his mansion.

He was in a pitiful condition, his ribs were broken there were deep wounds on his arms and calves which were made with knife. He was sleeping at the moment under the effect of painkillers.

He was really a hard-nut to c***k.

Kai just dealt with some business matters while waiting for him to gain consciousness.

Anna and sera were sleeping together in the guest room.

Save me, somebody save mama baba.

A little girl was crying shouting calling for her mother and father.

She was in a huge castle, everything was burning, there was fire everywhere.

The little girl was coughing violently as she continued to cry for her parents, her small angelic face covered in tears and turned red because of lack of oxygen.

The girl ran from there but the fire keep coming after her, wherever she turned it followed closely behind her as she continue to call for help.

The girl reached a dead end running and the fire engulfed her as she asked for help.

SAVEEE MEEE

"SAVE ME" Savannah woke up with a jerk, her face was covered in sweat and she was breathing rapidly her heart was drumming in her ears.

She looked here and there in bewilderment, making sure there was no fire here, her whole body was shaking uncontrollably. She looked at her hands which were shaking she could see them burning there was fire on her hands, her whole body felt as if she was burning.

"Anna wake up"

"Anna"

"Come to your senses"

Sera said grabbing her shoulders

But she couldn't here Sera calling her name, she was just worried the fire will come here chasing after her, it will burn her she'll die.

She get out of her bed, there was fire coming towards her the room was starting to burn. Everything will burn, everyone will die.

She was breathing with difficultly now. She crouched down in the small space between the wall and the dressing table in a corner, she hugged her legs close to her and hid her face between her knees, tears continuously streaming down her face.

"Sa..ve..me...some..bod..y...sa.ve...me"

Sera couldn't do anything, her eyes were also filled with tears by now.

Hudson who heard the commotion hurriedly came in the room, seeing Anna sitting in a corner and crying, he knew what had happened.

"AINA, look I came"

He immediately went to her crouched down infront of her.

"Daughter"

"My daughter"

"Little daughter"

"You're safe"

"I'm here"

"See"

"Daughter"

"I'll protect you"

Hudson continued to talk with her. Her sniffs and hiccups seizing little by little.

Hudson opened his arms as Anna raised her head a little, seeing Hudson she immediately dived in his safe arms.

"Baba"

"Baba"

She continued calling him.

"My daughter, you're safe I'm here with you, I'll protect my little cub"

"Promise?"

Anna asked with child like innocence.

Hudson chuckled

"Baba..aaaa"

Anna said longing the aaa at the end, waiting for him to promise her.

"Hmm promise"

The father daughter hugged. After a while Anna again went to sleep sera also went to sleep next to her. But she made a note that she would ask Hudson about her condition.

The next day she got ready for school but today she made a single simple pony, because the two braids took extra time and Anna was a born lazy person, except in few matters. But she didn't forget to do her ugly makeup, with blackheads and face-mols.

She reached the school at time.

There was a commotion going on early in the morning.

There stood Steven bullying a boy with glasses, he pushed him to the wall and his two lackeys poured water on him. Anna didn't knew why he was bullying him.

She really wanted to go and punch him right on his face. Anna was staring no glaring at him with hate.

When Steven saw her looking at the boy he was bullying he smirked. He grabbed the boys glasses, turned towards her and threw his glasses on the floor crushing them with his foot.

"Be careful, you can be in his place" he said looking straight in her eyes, daring her to disobey him. But what he didn't knew was, he was talking with Savannah Hudson,

the famous....

Idiot.

As the next second Savannah emptied her water bottle on him.

Uh oh.
