"Damn it!" Mr Frednard spat and ran his finger down his short brown hair. "But she is in the hospital now. We also caught the guy who ran her over." "How the hell did she get run over? I thought I instructed you to send some guys with her to her mother's place?" "I did exactly what you instructed but I don't know how this happened –" "Bring me those bastards that went with her!" "Yes, sir," Mac said in a low tone unenthusiastic tone. "Release the truck driver. It wasn't his fault. I blame the fools that were placed to ensure her safety." "Yes, my prince." "Ensure she gets the best treatment. She mustn't die till she works off all her mum's debt." "Okay, my prince." "You may leave now." Mac bowed and turned to take his leave. "One more thing, Mac," Frednard's voice called back Mac's attention. Frednard leaned forward and said some words to him in a whisper and Mac nodded with a straight face. "I understand, my prince." Frednard gave a asserting nod and Mac went to carry out the instructions. Frednard shut the door and turned towards the bed. There was a puzzle and concerned look written shortly on his face before it disappeared. "This Angela lady, I thought she was your newly brought slave? Why do you seem so concerned about her?" Kate inquired with jealousy spiking in her voice. Frednard pinned her a spiteful glare and Kate kept short. Her jealousy was almost getting her into trouble by poking her nose into the Vampire prince's private life which he had clearly warned her to stay clear. "Don't make me remind you not to interfere in my business, Kate," Mr Frednard said with notes of warning. His voice was cold but had traces of suppressed anger. "Get dressed and leave now. I have things to attend to, Kate," he added and walked down to his wardrobe to put on some clothes.
