She wasn’t prepared when the coffee shortage hit her neighborhood early that morning. People had lined up in front of the supermarket the night before for the sole purpose of buying coffee, creamer, and sugar.The old woman was already two-steps behind everyone else in the town, as she was too uncomfortable with lining up at the supermarket with a tent and raingear as the other townsfolk did the night before. Instead, she waited at the end of the line at the entrance and hoped there’d still be some coffee left for her to buy.
