MY WONDERFUL MATE

(QUINN'S POV)

I woke up at 4:30 am to Blay pacing and whining in my head again. This is the 5 times in a week that he has woken me up this way. I get a shower and wash my body and hair with Old Spice Fuji. I get out and dry off. I then get dressed into my favorite red silk button-up shirt that Kari got me 2 years ago on my birthday. I then put on my black jeans and my red and black Air Force Ones. You see I'm hoping to run into Kari this morning. My mate, she is so beautiful. I'm hoping just seeing her will be enough to help Blay calm down.

You see 4 years ago during the first time I shift and met Blay I found out that this beautiful she-wolf was my mate. But she was only 14 at the time and I couldn't do that to her. Everyone that lives in the pack house which is my family the Beta family and a lot of unmated warriors knows that she is their future Luna and my mate.

I was looking in the fridge for some orange juice when the smell of cotton candy and roses hits me engulfing my every sense. It's mouth watering. I turned faster than intended because Blay took over for that split second. Which made our beautiful mate drop her head.

"Good morning Quinn good morning Blay, how are you?

"Oh, Kari good morning. We are doing good thank you. I didn't mean to startle you I'm sorry. Please lift your head, Blay didn't mean to scare you." She finally looked at us with a smile on her face.

"Mate."

"Yes, our beautiful mate but you know we still have a little over a week. You also know how Lycan is with her. just because he knows we are mates doesn't mean he is going to let us claim her now." I blocked out Blay so I could continue to talk with Kari.

"It's fine I just wasn't expecting to see Blay this early in the morning. He doesn't seem like a morning person hahaha."

"Yeah he's been on edge for a few days now and he won't tell me why. What has you up this early?"

"Well I still have one week of school left before break begins, and school starts in an hour."

"Oh Okay."

I heard her older brothers sneaking up behind her and scooping her into a group hug and both kissed the top of her head. I growled at them. I know they are her brothers but Blay doesn't like unmated males around her excluding her father of course. They both look at me evilly but let her go.

"Cool your jets Romeo we are just giving our baby sister a hug."

"Yeah, brother-in-law." They cut our connection before I could respond.

"Good morning little wolf. Why are you up so early?"

"Yeah isn't it Christmas break yet?"

She rolled her beautiful lavender eyes at them and told them the same thing she told me. She then looks past all 3 of us and straight at the coffee pot with longing and love in her eyes.

"Now if you 3 will excuse me that coffee is calling my name and I need to get to school."

"Yes ma'am," Damian said laughing at me. "I will see you guys at dinner later."

We said our goodbyes to Damian as he walked out of the kitchen.

"Hey, Kari do you need a ride to school. It's not the way I'm heading but I don't want you to walk alone."

I didn't hear anything else after that. Ii let out a deep growl, "Quinn don't you dare let our Angel walk."

"Of course, not Blay we will take her."

"Good."

Both Kari and Lucian turned to look at me. The look Kari is giving me, with her head tilted to the side. Her lavender eyes always did captivate me even before I found out we were mates.

"Quinn are you okay?" Blay calmed down at the sound of her voice.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Lucian then proceeded to look at me over Kari's head and a huge grin on his face.

"Yo Quinn, you're going to the school, right? Do you think you can give Kari a ride for me? Normally I would let her walk but being so close to her first shift dad is going into extra protective mode."

My heart and Blay jumped with pure joy. I tried to hide my emotions but the look that Lucian was giving me said that is not what happened.

"Of course."

Damn it that was too much. Lucian has that evil grin on his face again. That's when I heard 5 males and 2 females laughing at me through our mind link. I'm going to kill him. Kari's eyes lit up when I gave her my answer made it all worth it.

"Thank you."

"Anytime Kari."

After she finished her coffee and let me tell you I have never been so jealous of something as I was of that coffee. She gave her brother and I gave him a glare that made him smile even bigger if that was even possible. We walked out the front door side by side to my car but her favorite out of all the other cars we all owned.

There was something off again Blay was pacing in my mind again and whimpering.

"Blay you need to tell me what is going on. Your starting to worry me."

"Fine Quinn I will tell you but not now let's just enjoy this time with our mate as we take her to school."

"Thank you, Blay and I will hold you to that."

He seems to calm down as Kari and I jump in my read jeep. I always make sure that anytime I am with her and we have to drive it is always in this vehicle. Anything to make my Angel smile.
