I carried her outside the building as she was still unconscious. Dane had the car ready outside while I looked around for Enzo.
“Where’s Enzo?” I asked them.
“Boss, he went after Neil.” Dane replied.
“Hasn’t he returned yet?” I asked, furrowing my eyebrows and Dane shook his head to a no. “He’s not going to catch Neil. It’s useless,” I murmured and looked up at Dane to add, “Open the car door.”
“Yes, boss.” He replied and immediately opened the car door. I climbed onto the side step and carefully placed Allison onto the seat. As I did, I noticed a few strands of her hair gently brushing against her cheek. Though I paused briefly to observe her, I chose not to do anything and took a step back.
