"I'm telling you I don't anything!" For such a hotty this officer sure was annoying. Over and over again, he demanded that I tell him everything. "I didn't even get invited directly by Blaire, I saw her once when I first got there and I have no idea who any of these other people are." The table in the interrogation room was covered with eight pictures of meaningless faces, he wanted more then what I was telling him but I couldn't help, I barely remembered the night as it was, what good would I be in helping piece together their investigation?      He leaned foward in his chair, "Look Ms. Davis I know this is a scary situation but anything you can tell us helps even if it was just a person standing in the corner acting weird." His blue eyes bored into my soul, pretty much begging me to tell him anything.      I sat foward, mimicking him, "I'm sorry sir, I really have nothing, I hung out with my friends, I didn't even know people were gone."      "Okay," He let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair, "I'll be back in a minute to take you girls back to your car." He stood leaving the room, I rolled my eyes sitting back in my chair, I really didn't know anything, but I couldn't help this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I actually did know more. Why couldn't I remember, everyrhomg is so clear up until I argued with Haven.      The door opened rather abruptly, startling me, "Can we go now?" I asked the officer.      "Actually, you have a friend here to take you back home."      "A friend?"      He saw the confusion on my face and smiled, "We brought a few other kids in for questioning as well, your friend Arayah said he would take you guys home."      I raised a brow before getting up and making my way out to find out who he was talking about. "Thanks, officer..." I had just realized I never caught his name.      "Byers," he finished for me nodding with a smile, "Josh Byers, and you have a good day Ms. Davis," I could have been mistaken but it sort of looked like he was blushing when he said my name, could he have been flirting? I gave him a sweet smile and continued towards the front desk.      "Finally!" Ray said jumping to her feet, "I thought they arrested you or something." Beside her still sitting in the chair was Haven, dress in a plain white button-up shirt and a pair of very well fitted jeans, he flipped through a magazine as if he had not a care in the world.      "Let's just get out of here, I need to go get my sister," Haven threw down the magazine and got to his feet, his eyes instantly running over night outfit. A slight smirk appearing on his face oh, he seems somewhat pleased with his self. "What are you looking at?" I demanded.      His eyes finally returned to my face, the smirk becoming more evident as he spoke, "I just happen to love blue, it suits you well." I rolled my eyes pushing past him, heading out the exit of the police station. The chilly fall Breeze hit me as I walked out the door blowing my dress around me, I pulled my jacket tighter as we made our way to his car parked out front a very nice 2019 cherry red Mustang, it went well with his ego. The drive back towards Blair's house was silent and somewhat awkward, for once Ray had nothing to say staring out of the window in the back seat. For Ray have much to say meant she must have had a lot on her mind, I hope these disappearances were getting to her, she had a horrible way of dwelling on the bad things. Not even a full 10 minutes later we pulled up to the curb in front of Blair's house, Ray quickly got out of the car and headed straight for mine, just as I was about to join her Haven took hold of my wrist, making me turn back and look at him. "When you take Ray home, come back by my place there's something I would like to discuss with you."      "I can't, I have responsibilities, if you have something you want to say, just say it."      "It's important,"      "Then just call or something like a normal human being, geez, it may be important to you but I have important things to worry about to so call me or it can wait." He clenched his jaw stairing at the stiring wheel, it looked as if he contemplating something. I rolled my eyes ignoring his mood swing, pulling my arm away from him, I grabbed his phone, which surprisingly had no lock, and put my bumber in it. Just for the hell of it i went to edit and clicked the picture button, I stuck my tongue out and gave a sexy pose and saved it for him. "Call me if it's so important,"  I said, tossing his phone in his lap and getting out of the car."      Ray and I sat at the island in her kitchen, while her mother Emma worked on lunch, her curly blonde hair frizzed from stress with bags under her eyes, even being so tired she was still such a beautiful woman, she was everything my mom used to be. "So Kit, I wanted to talk with you," Emma said, pulling out stuff to make sandwiches, "Last night, Leah was outside, Kaylynn came in and told me she was talking to someone, so I went outside to look." She glanced up at seeing the concern on my face, "No one was there honey, don't worry I checked. But I would like to start seeing her as a patient, having a spontaneous imaginary friend at her age are signs of serious emotional trauma. If you give me permission I could begin sessions with her immediately. I can help you get to the root of the problem, I know this isn't something your mother would approve of, for many reasons but that's why I'm asking you."      "No offense Mrs. Emma, you're a great therapist, but I can't force her to do it if she doesn't want to. I feel like if I even told her she would say no because I suggested it." With a heavy sigh I put my head in my hands, I didn't know how to handle this situation, I'm not supposed to be the one parenting, but I had no choice.       "Let me give you some advice," She smiled putting the sandwiches on plates with chips, "She's at that age, defiant, irritated and always moody. Take her out, go shopping grab dinner do something nice, with her and then talk to her about it, she'll feel more comfortable if you give her a chance to open up and actually listen to you." I nodded, she was right, my sister never really did much, she sat at home on her computer, she didn't really have friends except for Kaylynn. She deserve a break from reality and I had the funds to help her with that. "Aside from the serious business, the girls had a blast trick or treating, they dressed up as scooby and shaggy. The things those girls come up with," we all laughed. "Come on lets eat."      After leaving Ray's, I decided to take Emma's advice and do something fun it was only one o'clock, "Where are we going?" Leah demanded, as I took a turn heading away from the house.      I smiled as she crossed her arms across her chest, "We are going to treat ourselves, I'm tired of being cooped up." A few minutes later I pulled into the mall, suddenly I noticed a small smile creeping up on her face. We made our way to one of the clothing stores inside finding the junior section I knew she'd be thrilled to dig through, her smile only got bigger as her tiny fingers ran along all the possibilities. She picked out a few items and ran to the dressing room, I made my way to the women's section find a few things for myself, after I gathered my items I made my way back to where she was, as I passed by I noticed a dress nearly matching mine in the black, I quickly snagged on and headed towards her. She waited by the door for me beaming with excitement, "I got you something, go change while I pay," I handed her the dress, taking the price tag with me. Beside the fromt counter where a few really cute jean jackets, smiling I grabbed one for her and paid for everything, when she came out I gave her the jacket as we went to the next store. We bounced around to a few different places and even got our nails done, just as we were about to leave something caught Leah's, she peered through the store widow with pure excitement,  walking back to her, I looked through the window too see an art set with all sorts of drawing and painting supplies, even a huge sketchbook  all inside a foldable art easel. Rolling my eyes, I took her inside to get it, before leaving the mall.      "Are we going home now?" She asked looking a little disappointed.      "Well I figured we could see a movie andget dinner first, I'm not ready to go home yet."      "Cool," she smiled at herself as she looked out the window.      It felt good, being with her, I didn't know it would feel this way, I thought she would be a jerk the whole time and give me hell, but instead, she was actually having fun, she even talked to me telling me about her crush and a few friends I didn't even know she had, during the movie we laughed together and had a great time, I couldnt remember the name of the movie, but it was the most I had laughed in a long time. The movie finally ended and we made our way to the subway next door, once we got our food we sat down by the window. "So tell me, was it a good day?"      She narrowed her eyes at me, "Why are you being so nice to me? It's weird,"      "I wanted to have a nice day with you, we don't ever do anything, did you not have fun?"      "I did, I just wanted to get away for a little while, mom..." She trailed off looking away from me.      With a heavy sigh I thought I should get right to the point, "Leah, Emma told me you were talking to someone, what's going on?"      "Did she see him too?" Leah demanded.      "Who? Leah was someone messing with you?"      Her face paled and she looked away again, "No, it's nothing,"      "Leah, you need to talk to someone, Emma is a psychiatrist, I think it will help you get through all these thing you don't want to talk about."      "I don't have anything I need to talk about."      "Clearly you do, I went to therapy too when I was little, it helped me a lot."      "Yeah because you're such a winner now," she snorted.      Gritting my teeth, I pretended to ignore the comment, "Look if you do this for me, I promise we will start doimg stuff like this more often, just try it out for me."      She rolled her eyes, "Fine," she huffed before finishing her food.      Once we were home I made sure she was comfy and in bed, my mother was passed out in the livingroom, probably completely unaware that we hadn't even been here. As I flopped down on my bed my phone began to ring, with an aggravated groan I answered it, "Hello?"      "Hello Katherine, it's Haven, I would really like the chance to speak with you in person if you have the time."      "Can't you just tell me over the phone, it's been a long day,"      "Please, it will only take a moment, it's something I cannot do over the phone."      Butterflies fluttered through my stomach, what could that possibly mean? "I-it's pretty late, I'm not a very good driver at night."      "Don't worry little dove, I'll come to you just send me your adress."      "Okay bu-," He hung up before I could finish. Rolling my eyes,  I did as he asked and sent my adress before getting up and heading to the pourch to wait for him. I plopped down in the swinging chair and pushed off with my feet, only a few short minutes later I heard the engine of his car coming down the road.
