While Beorn prepared something to eat I sat on a bench which was almost twice my size. "Go and wake up your companions," Beorn said. I jumped off the bench and walked down the stairs when I reached the hay piles I saw that Gandalf was already awake. "Morning," I whispered and walked passed him to Thorin. "Thorin, Thorin," I whispered. Thorin mumbled something but I continued to wake him up which in the end was successful. "Good Morning my Love," I said with a smile. "Morning," he said sleepy rubbing his eyes. Just as I bend down to kiss him, he slung his arms around me and pulled me on top of him. "Thorin." said laughing while he carefully placed me next to him on the hay. "Come on I'm hungry," I grumbled and got up. Together with Gandalf Thorin, we woke up most of the dwarfs while Bombur needed some more motivation to get up. When I walked towards Bilbo I saw that he was in a deep sleep, so I let him sleep to join the dwarfs at the table. "So you are the one they call Oakenshield. Tell me, why is Azog the Defiler hunting you?" Beorn said after a while. "You know of Azog? How?" Thorin asked while I drank from the ginormous mug. "My people were the first to live in the mountains before the Orcs came down from the north. The Defiler killed most of my family, but some he enslaved. Not for work, you understand, but for sport. Caging skin-changers and torturing them seemed to amuse him." Beorn told us, just then I saw the chain on his wrist. "May I try?" I asked pointing at the chain. "You can pick locks?" Fili asked. "Yeah, my Father taught me just in case," I said with a wink. I got up and searched through my pockets until I found my hairpins. While I piked the lock I heard Bilbo talking he woke up a bit later to join us. "There are others like you?" Bilbo asked Beorn. "Once there were many," Beorn said. "I'm sorry about that." I quietly said just as I heard the familiar clicking sound and I immediately knew that I was done. "There you go," I said with a smile taking the chain off his wrist. "Thank you very much," Beorn said. "And now? Are they more of you?" Bilbo asked.  "Now there's only one. You need to reach the mountain before the last days of autumn." Beorn said. "Before Durin's Day falls, yes." Gandalf agreed. "You are running out of time," Beorn said. "We know that, what can we do?" I asked. "We must go through Mirkwood." What? No, I can't go through there." I immediately said. "Why?" Thorin asked. "The Elves there are not very fond of me," I told Thorin knowing that this could mean the death of me if I ever show up there again. "Don't worry my Love, I will protect you If I must," Thorin said taking my hand. "Thank you, Thorin," I replied squeezing his hand. "You have to be careful these lands are crawling with Orcs, their numbers are growing and you are on foot. You will never reach the forest alive. I don't like dwarves, they're greedy and blind, blind to the lives of those they deem lesser than their own." Beorn said while he took the Mouse Dwalin pushed away. "But Orcs I hate more," he added looking to Thorin and me I. "What do you need?" he asked Thorin.  The next morning Beorn woke us all up, he allowed us to stay another night before we continued our way. "I will give you ponys, food and some water for your journey," Beorn said. "Thank you, Beorn we all appreciate it," I said. "There are not enough ponys," Fili said. I looked over the ponys and saw the same problem then Fili. "Yeah, but I can share a pony," I said. "I found a horse a week ago, he is in the barn over there," Beorn said pointing to a barn nearby. "I'll go and have a look," I said and walked to the barn. As I entered I saw some more cows, an ox, and a few goats. I the very back corner I saw something black standing in a stall. But when I came closer I noticed that it was actually a black Friesian horse, right away I thought it could maybe be Brego. "Brego?" I said almost whispering. The Horse turned around and now I saw my faithful companion, he greeted me full of joy. "Hey Buddy, I know I know I left you behind but I had a good reason for it." I told him while I patted his fur. "Nessy, come on we have to go." Thorin called from outside. "Coming." I called back, after I had the saddle and bridle on I led him out of the stall and hopped on to his back. It was good to have Brego back. "Nessa, we really have to go." Thorin called again. I dug my heeles on Brego and right away he cantered out of the Barn, as I reached the group Brego was full of energy and rose on his back legs scaring my friends a little bit. "Easy Boy." I whispered patting his beautiful long neck. "So this is where he went." Thorin said with a smile, I knew he recognized Brego right away. "You have to leave now, those who haunt you are not far behind." Beorn told us, the others rode off. "Thank you Beorn for everything." I called before Brego ran after the other ponys. I caught up riding next to Bilbo. "Your alright?" I asked him, he kinda nodded, so I gave him a smile before I hurried Brego to catch up with Thorin who was leading the group next to Gandalf.
