The werebears surrounding us roar with their crazed eyes glowing in the dark of the night. I hold my breath and take a fighting stance while Kai slides down from my back.
Brandon snarls at the werebears and glances at me. Jessica is clutching his brown fur, and since she is a mermaid and can’t magically shape-shift into a wolf like us, she won’t be much help in this battle.
