my ears and nose twitch and I smirked

"I know you're there come out".

"NOW!".

these assassins are really terrible at their job.

"well, well, well! if it isn't kyla smith,so this is where you've been hiding, there's a big bounty for you, you're worth 25millon dollars". he said working out of his hiding place and 4 more men following him.

"y..you know my name?"

"h..how?"

"your very famous in the underground world, even the best assassins couldn't find you, I guess they never guessed that such a delicate girl could be living here of all places, lord lucas has been looking for you".

That name strikes fear into my heart even till today. "lord lucas" that name and that face has always hunted my dreams for years now.

my tormentor, my nightmare, ooh lord if you really exist please don't ever let me and that monster cross parts again.

"why,does he miss me?" I said to them putting on a brave face but I knew they could hear my heart race.

"so are u here for me greg or?"kyla said staring at her nails.

"we've been hired to get rid of a lady and child". he said looking at hazel and her baby.

"we'll be taking you too,cause you my dear are my ticket to getting stinky rich". he said flashing his set of yellow teeth and I scoffed.

"hate to break it to ya Greg but am no longer that naive little girl you've always known".I said

"Sammy get the lady and child we don't have time for this cute show of bravery". he said dismissing me.

"I can't believe this, he underestimated us". my wolf said in disbelief

rookie mistake. I thought

"Get behind me hazel".I said taking a protective stance.

"Sammy!". he shouted

"Yes,boss?".sammy asked

"Get the girl and child now!".

"OK boss!".

Sammy walked towards me,smirking like the fool he is.

I guess they aren't backing down huh?

ooh well it's they're funeral.

Sammy ran towards me letting out a battlecry and tried to punch me but I dodged easily.

"Too slow".I said grabbing his wrist and squeezing it till I heard his bones snap and a befitting scream erupted from his throat.

"YOU B*TCH!". he growled with so much venom in his voice.

"aww Sammy did a "little girl" just break your hand ". I taunted and in one swift move I snapped his neck, letting him fall into a big heap on the ground.

"A lot has changed, living here 2 years has made me stronger. "I .WON'T .LET .YOU . TAKE . HER!".I screamed at him.

"AHHH!".I screamed feeling my rib c***k as one of them kicked me in the gut.

"sh*t!, I let my guard down"I whispered still feeling the pain.

he gave me kick in the gut again and again and I felt my raptured rib finally snap I scream once again as the force sends me flying and I collide with a nearby tree and a few more of my ribs break.

"Wow he can punch real hard".I said coughing.

I got up feeling slightly dizzy.

"you a**hole, you're gonna pay for that".I said and he smirked mocking my pitiful state.

breathing in and out I try not to concentrate on the pain.

yap it's official you look terrible right now

mia my wolf said mocking my state.

if you think you can do better why don't you take over.

I said annoyed at her she's supposed to be at least a little supportive

"if you say so".

I could feel my claws extract and power surgery through me.

and in a flash mia jumped into the air landing right on top of him and without wasting any time ripped out his throat.

Mia said feel disgusted and l smiled.

you knew it was going to tastes terrible then why?

I said wondering how stupid she can be sometimes.

she said slightly annoyed and I rolled my eyes.

HAZEL POV

"I need to protect her".I said looking at my unnamed baby cradled in my arms I had only just given birth to her 2days ago and I already loved her so much.

she was source of joy always smiling even tho her eyes aren't open yet.

suddenly a twig snapped drawing my attention towards it.

I saw 2 men closing in on me with a terrifying smile on their face.

I look around for help but kyla has her hands full with that Greg guy doesn't look like she'll be done any time soon.

I guess i'm on my own.

one of them suddenly started running towards me.

I waited until he was close enough,when he was.

I quickly reached into my pocket and open the green potion spilling all it'd content on him.

he screamed in horror as his skin absorbed it and in seconds he fell to the ground dead.

one down one more to go!.

The other man walked towards me,I immediately threw another potion at him,but he dodged it.

smart man, he would have turned nothing but dust.

he ran to towards me with a dagger in his hand . and I closed my eyes waiting

it's official am gonna die today this is the end of me.

am exhausted what kind of witch queen am I?.

I can't even protect my self.

so weak!. I really wanted to close my eyes and sleep but I couldn't I knew people were just waiting to take my baby from me.

but I knew I could trust kyla there was something different about her.

I waited but no pain came,slowly I opened my eyes and was relieved and slightly terrified to see kyla standing there with his heart in her hands and a hole in his chest.

she freaking ripped his heart out.

Kyla pov

I was preoccupied with fighting Greg that I had almost forgotten about her.

looking over to her I saw hazel on the ground cradling her baby.

And one of Greg's goons running towards her with a freaking glowing dagger I knew at once.

That dagger was coated with poison.

If it managed to pierce her it would kill her instantly.

I turned my back on Greg and ran towards her in full speed.

No! No! No!, this can't be happening.

I manage to get there in time and ripped the man's heart out instantly.

I turned around towards Greg but from the corner of my eyes I could see a dagger headed right at me.

I knew it was to late to react to it.

so I braced myself for impact.

but the dagger missed me by inches.

"HAHAHAHAHA, i laughed.

"The Great sergeant Greg missed". I said mocking him.

but he just smiled.

"I didn't,look behind you".he said still smiling.

Turning back I freeze instantly as the smile on my face fades.

hh..h...hazel she..s....sshe's No! this can't be happening.

hazel stood meters away from me with a knife protruding out of her chest.

just like Lia.

tho it didn't hit her heart am a 110% percent sure it graced her heart.

meaning it pierced her heart.

there's nothing I can do to save her.

"No!". I screamed catching her from falling, she can't die, she can't leave her child alone in this cruel world.

whose gonna take care of her,she has to be OK? she has to.

"Hazel, hazel,come one stay with me, if you can't at least stay for your daughter".

I said looking at the cute baby in between us, crying because she's been disturbing from her sleep,oblivious to what's happening around her.

"kyla you have to promise me you'll look after her,please promise me you'll protect her.

I wouldn't be here any more please promise me you'll take care of her".

"I promise I'll be there for her I'll take care of her I'll make sure she doesn't like lack a thing".

"I promise to look after her, she is in safe hands.

"theia" i said let's call her theia".

"I don't have much time left". he said in a whisper.

" Theia, I love that name".she said smiling slightly.

"Doesn't she have another parent, at least, let her grow up with a Little Love from her biological parent.

"where is her dad?". I asked curiously.

"Her dad is the Dragon k.....".

And just like that, she died.

"she's gone".I whispered looking around.

"And so is that snake, Greg".I said in disgust.

"I guess it's you and me now theia". I said

"its you and me against the world".

once again I couldn't save her but the least I could do was save this little life and I did though I didn't save her I think I got a little bit of redemption this baby girl is now my daughter.

"I will make sure that this world doesn't treat her as cool as it did me".I whispered

taking her from her mother's now cold hands.
