Meeting

After finishing her lunch with Lea and Jason, she went back to her office and was finishing her work when he cell phone rings. She saw the persons name and smiled, it’s was a call from her sweet sweet grandmother she picked up the call “ hello meemaw, how are you and how your trip to France did you guys enjoyed?”

Her meemaw replied “ I am doing well my love and yes we enjoyed our trip to France. I never knew your pop-pop can be this romantic. He took me to candle light dinner, we took walk near lake. It’s was so sweet. I enjoyed a lot.” Meera smiled at the thought of her grandparents still being in so much love after being with each other for so long.

Meera asked “ it’s good to hear that you enjoyed. Is there any reason for calling ?”

Meemaw replied “ do I need reason to talk to my own child. Am I not allowed to call you ?”

Meera said “ nonsense you know no one can stop you from calling me, so stop being such a drama queen and tell me what can I do for you.”

Meemaw smile and said “ I want you all to visit us this weekend. We got gifts for everyone from France and it’s been a long that we all meet. And” meemaw paused and carefully said “ I have found a suitor for you. I know you don’t want us to find a suitor or want to get involve with anyone but my child it’s been many years since that incident. It hurts me that you are still holding on to that.”

Meera exhaled loudly and said “ meemaw I know you want best for me and I am not holding on to anything. It’s just______I am just very occupied right now I have my career to look after and there is you guys. I am content I don’t have time to get involved with anyone. My parents need me and I will stick with them. However I don’t want to upset you so I will meet this whosoever suitor is and will see.”

Her meemaw knew that she will just look at his file and reject him without even talking to him so after thinking for few seconds her meemaw said “ okayy my love, but you will not get his file, if you are doing this for me than I want you to meet the guy once. If you don’t like him that’s fine but I will not allow you this time to judge a book by it’s cover.”

Meera smiled because her meemaw know her perfectly. She agreed to her meemaw’s conditions. They talked about for a while about different things and then Meera saw the time it’s almost time for her to leave for meeting with Smith’s. She bid goodbye to her meemaw and called Lea to get ready to leave.

Meera’s core team members for Smith’s account Jax, Matt, Dexter and Lea got ready to leave. Meera knew that meeting at Smith’s will go for long so she went to Jason’s to bid him goodbye and inform him that she will share MOM with him. Jason asked her if they can meet after her meeting ends as it’s Friday. Meera smiled and inform him that she will give him a call. Jason was happy because she did not say no to him.

Meera’s team left their office building and head to Smith’s. They all chitchat about different things and in no time they reach to Smith’s building. Smith industries have huge this corporate house. It’s had spread in an acre and in middle their main building is located where their meeting is going to get held.

They reach to a huge glassed building and valet came to take their cars and open their doors. Jax and Dexter gave their car keys to valet and they all head inside the building. They were 20min early to meeting because they want to discuss few things and set them up. Jax was handsome looking man with his fair skin, blue eyes and blond hair, any girl will be lucky to have him. He said to receptionist by flashing heart warming smile “hey we are here for marketing meeting. Can you please direct us were to go, pretty please.”

Receptionist blushed and said “ Sure come with me” and she took them to Conference room A.

She said “ Do guys need coffee or anything just let me know and I will inform Mr. Smith’s office.” She left but not before eyeing Jax. Jax winked at her before she leave.

Meera shake her head and said “ Let’s focus on this meeting and there is a chance that Smith’s are little upset because we did not took meeting early. However it should not impact on our morale. We are here to form best strategy for their new product. Jax if you are out of your La La land please focus, after meeting you can do whatever you want.”

Jax smiled at her said “ don’t be jealous baby she has nothing on you.”

Meera smile at him and said “ okay self proclaimed Mr. Wanted, please tell me what product line we are looking for.”

Jax checked the details and informed her “beauty products more like make-up. However I’ve already asked them their product price and they shared that they are making economic range this time.”

Meera understood and started thinking that what can be done. She thought of few ideas but she waited for Smith’s team to explain more in detail. To be beast in branding and marketing field it’s is important that we know what is the vision client have for their product.

She stand up from her sit and went near glass wall, which is giving full view of city. She look outside of glass window aimlessly. She did not realised when Rose came in the conference room. Rose went straight to Meera and hugged her. Meera got startled for a second but soon she realised that it’s Rose. She hugged her back. Rose was happy seeing her after long because last time when Meera came she was busy with her work and was unable to meet her.

Rose and Meera’s mother Maya are friends and Rose love Meera since she was a child. Rose also helped Meera to crack Smith’s account but it’s Meera’s hard work which helped her to win trust of Richard.

Soon conference room started getting fill by everyone. Meera took her sit and started working in her laptop, not so soon enough Richard came to conference room and greet Meera and asked “How are you doing Ms. Sam. How is everyone at home.”

Meera smiled and replied “ Hello Mr. Smith everyone is doing fine and thank you for asking. And please you can all me Meera don’t have to be so formal.”

Richard smiled at her and said “I asked you multiple times to call me Richard or Uncle Richard but you insist on calling me Mr. Smith so it is only fair if I reciprocate.”

Meera laughed and said “Fair enough Richard.”

He smiled at her and said “Yes Meera.” After this small talk he went to his seat and started talking to his team. Few minutes has passed but meeting still hasn’t started, she looked up from her laptop to see what is all this wait about. Because come on it’s last working day of the week and no one wants this meeting to go for long.

Rose understood Meera expression and said “ We are waiting for our new CEO. He is running little late because of one of our business call went long in Japan.”

Meera nodded in understanding and decided to drop a text to her mom, that she has plans for going out this evening so do not make dinner for her.

She drop quick text to her mom “Hey don’t make dinner for me. I am going out with Jason., Lea and all. I got a call from meemaw she want everyone at their house this weekend.”

Her mom replied “ okay no problem. And yes I had a word with mom and we all have decided to go to her place on Sunday evening so do not plan anything on that day. Plus you have promised to meet your suitor so he is also going to be there.”

Meera rolled her eyes and replied “okay bye for now.”

As soon as her chat ended conference room door flung open.

She saw a girl wearing almost no clothes and behind her there was a Greek god looking man. She was so mesmerised with his looks that she got worried that people will see drool coming from her mouth.

She composed herself and diverted her focus on work. Everyone stood up except Richard.

Ian came to her team and apologised for being late and because of him they all have to wait.

She looked at Lea and her friend was awestruck that she couldn’t even say anything. Matt replied it’s okay and Ian moved to Meera.

Meera and lan locked eyes with each other and Ian smiled at her, which caused butterflies in her stomach. He forward his hand for handshake and as soon as their hand touches and electric current pass through them. Meera shakes her hand and took her sit. She thought “good going Meera, having crush on client and that too CEO of company. It’s good that I didn’t show on my face. I have to reset and focus on meeting.”

Ian was shocked with the feeling he felt and thought it must be his imagination. He look at Meera once again and thought to himself “f**k this manager is hot. She has such a beautiful dark brown eyes. Porcelain skin, full lips. Her breast are so full and it seems they are natural. Her blazer is covering her curves but still he can see that she has amazing figure.” He couldn’t take his eyes from her.

He kept staring at her but she was not looking at him and this was first time Ian was experiencing that some girl is not looking at him. It peeks his interest more.
