I sat on the floor for what seemed like hours, taking deep breaths, trying hard to calm my racing mind and heart. I looked around for any way to escape and noticed the window. I walked over to it and looked out. There were bars covering it, but I opened it anyway and tried to push on the bars. They didn’t budge, so I searched the room again. I was trying my best not to panic. Dean always told me that when you panic, it is harder to accomplish things.
