The other hostages are doing the same thing as this man does. “I’m done with killing the last guard that is guarding this building. How’s your situation?” Kaidou asks me through the voice chat. “I’m done with releasing the hostages. They’re all fine. I’m now waiting for the status update from the other team,” I say to Kaidou.
I then turn to the hostages. “I understand how scared you are right now. But I urge you to listen to my instruction carefully if you want to leave this place safely. We will leave this building once I receive a signal to do so. It may take a while. So, please remain patient for now.” The hostages nod their heads. I smile back at them, thanking them for their cooperation. It sure does feel strange that the non-playable characters are responding to what I’m saying. I c
