"Vivi."
Weston scrambled off the bed.
"I didn't mean to do that."
I backed away from him. "Don't touch me."
The nurse's aide came running at the noise. "What on earth is going on in here? A fight? You don't put your hands on somebody over a fight. Miss Hale, go get that head looked at right now. Mr. Sinclair, what were you thinking?"
I straightened up and ran.
The tears came the second I was out the door, and nothing was going to stop them.
"What are you crying for? You love him that much?"
A familiar scent of cedar grew stronger as he came closer.
My whole body flinched at the sound of his voice.
He paused, and something I couldn't name slid into his voice.
"I'm sorry. That whole scene with the photograph, I made sure you walked in on it."
