They continued along the corridor, leaving the maid to cast longing glances at Deacon's retreating back. At the end of the long hallway, a small staircase led to the first floor of the house. Raven and Deacon ascended the flight of steps. Raven's irritation burned in his throat as they walked along the landing to Soren and Deveron's bedroom.
