I exhaled deeply thinking about my present and future. The past was gone but it left me with so many painful scars. I thought about going shopping on the weekend. I had to buy so many things and needed a bit of distraction from my work and life.
I pulled out my phone, scrolling through my contacts. Finding Sharley's name, I took a deep breath and pressed the call button. The familiar ringing tone filled my ear as I waited for her to pick up my call.
After what felt like an eternity, Sharley's vibrant voice burst through the speaker. "Well, well, well! If it isn't my favorite girl in the whole wide world!" she exclaimed, her words dripping with warmth and affection.
“ So how's it diving into the world of the enigmatic CEO turned Hot Ex.” She teased me playfully.
